Don’t think so, time has a way of making people forget. Sometimes it’s necessary to remind people of the facts.

LOL. They're both obviously deficit spenders.

But deficit spending post-covid in a fragile economy (to say the least) is obviously quite different than inheriting a growing economy and a downward trending deficit.....and instantly reversing the deficit.

It's a comparison of apples to oranges.

The only thing laughable is you posting misleading statistics in a failed attempt to defend Trump's instant deficit spending.

(Oh wait - post the federal budgets under Trump instead of the deficits one more time. Your attempt to deceive is great for a laugh. :))

Here’s the same numbers for Biden’s years just like I posted for Trump’s years.
Mind you Biden added that 1.9 trillion dollar American Rescue Plan in the spring of 2021( not sure if that goes under Trump’s final FY).

    Receipts Outlays in trillions

    2021. 4.05. 6.82

    2022. 4.9. 6.27

    2023. 4.8. 6.37

    2024. 5.04. 6.88

    https://www.statista.com/statistics...-of-the-us-government-since-fiscal-year-2000/

At least the last two years under an “incredible” economy many would argue 2022 was pretty darn good also.

Yeah okay and we have had and incredible economy for the last two years at least, some would argue longer.

Yet Joe the deficit hawk just let it ramp up worse than Don’s pre covid blitz.

And there you go again - you just can't help saying things that are simply not true. Specifically; some would argue that the economy prior to the last two years was "incredible" ? Just stop man, you're like a comedian at this point.

And given that most of the years of the Biden economy were post-covid..... it could easily be argued that the economy was good because of fiscal stimulus. It certainly was a very different economic situation than the growing economy that Trump inherited...... and which he instantly jacked up with (trend-reversing) deficit spending.

Again, just stop. We get that you want to shill for Trump. The reality is that, given prevailing economic conditions, there simply may not exist a less fiscally responsible President than Trump in US history.

Don’t forget Biden tacked on 1.9 trillion in the spring of 2021 (the American Rescue Act) that seem to be added to Trump’s 2021 FY.

Come on man, the left here has been crowing about how great Biden’s recovery and economy has been for at least two years. The biggest jump in spending under Trump was covid stimulus but under Trump its bad, under Biden it saved us…

Now you act like the last few years has been some terrible limping economy?

    You can’t be serious.

I don’t like either but good grief. I’m not shilling for anyone but to have such outrage and ignore the next guy who spent more after Covid was over is a joke.

Is ignorance really bliss or just the hate for Trump makes you so blind?

Is ignorance really bliss or just the love for Trump makes you so blind?

Trump voluntarily began his trend-reversing deficit spending in a strong and growing inherited economy.

Biden was deficit spending immediately following probably the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

    Do ya....sort of.....slightly even.....see the difference?

    Re-read that until you do.

Biden didnt run on reducing the deficit. He ran on addressing the covid disaster and correcting the nonsense Trump was doing. Trump ran on cutting the deficit to zero in 8 years. Then he signed an increase in the budget year one and said he would never do it again. Then he signed 3 more after that. The fact you are doing everything in your power to pretend otherwise means you don’t really have a good argument. You don’t.

Didn't you just describe increased spending by $600 Billion under Trump as "didn’t rise very much." Now you are saying it is under Biden (from his low, not from what Trump actually left him)? Seems in ridiculously bad faith...

It should also be noted that Biden's $600 Billion increase in spending happened during higher inflation, whereas Trump's happened during lower inflation prior to Covid.

But you seem to think Biden's was a massive increase and Trump's was a small increase. I wonder why...

The math shows the federal deficit increased by 66% in Trump's first 3 years. It also shows that the deficit was only 31% higher in 2016, Obama's final year, than it was in 2008. So the deficit increased by 66% in 3 years under Trump and 31% in 8 years under Obama. Yes, the deficit shot up in 2009 due the the great recession and dropped thereafter, but if we're going to remove the covid year from Trump's numbers we should remove the recession years from Obama's.

So sorry, I didn’t realize that since Biden didn’t say he wouldn’t reduce the deficit pointing out that he has increased it more than Trump with a roaring economy the last three years was not allowed.

Once again I’ll type it Trump is a bloviating sack of crap.
Anyone who thinks he means half of what he says is a fool at this point.

It's pretty weird that you still try to deceive people as to the strength of the economy in 2022.

Do you think that people don't have access to basic statistics?

    United States/GDP growth rate (2022)
    1.9% annual change (2022)

OMG dude the media, the Biden admin your fellow leftist posters here have been posting for 2 years how great Biden’s economy has been the last 2 years.

Please go back to your leaders and figure out which one it is.

I missed that. I did see you clearly attempt to misrepresent something though. Sad.

Also, why are you suddenly citing some unnamed posters, of dubious veracity, with statistics that are clearly misleading?

Come on man stop acting like you’ve lived in a hole for the last 2 plus years.
There were threads weekly about thanking Joe for our great economy.

    Talk about misleading man.

I’m not gonna waste my time scrolling back and posting links to prove something that is common knowledge.

    Enough of your BS.

So are you still going to be telling people that the 2022 economy was "roaring"? :)
