Lake is also a former local news anchor and knows how to exploit the medium. My guess is that it will come down to Lake or Noem although I still wouldn't count out Scott or Stefanik and there's always the possibility that Trump could select a completely unexpected dark horse like Sen. Katie Britt from Alabama. See pic below.

That would be the one pick that would completely sabotage Trump’s chances. So, hope that’s who he goes with.

Lake would be another truly awful pick. She sold her soul in the election lies, and that is what she is known for. That won’t help the ticket at all. I’d think they would like to distance themselves from that subject to the best they can, not double and triple down on it.

Kari Lake is running in the AZ Senate race, so I'd assume she's not going to be the pick.

But it will also have to be someone who has essentially no original thought, moral compass, or fear of being dead in the water until the end like Pence or absolutely devastated in all regards ala Giuliani.

A lot of these names just don't fit. Why would anyone with even a hint of political life take this almost certain doom job?

    Lake fits pretty nicely.

I suspect that she would withdraw her candidacy for the Senate if Trump offered her the VP slot. Although some polls taken three weeks ago had the race within the margin of error the most recent polls do not look that good for her.

I assume Noem wants it because she thinks it'll set her up to be a frontrunner in 2028.

She's too extreme on abortion. She is on record as opposing exceptions to abortion bans for rape. If Trump is considering her due to appeal to middle class women, that's going to be a huge issue. As I mentioned earlier, she brings nothing to the Electoral College table.

Noem was even opposed to the 10 year old rape victim being allowed to have an abortion. That, in my view, is an extreme position.

South Dakota's Kristi Noem grilled about rape victim who reportedly got pregnant

Okay, but she's attractive and loyal to Trump, so she definitely has a chance lol.

Not funny. Probably a double digit percent chance of that happening if he wins.

This is all leading up to a stripper pole being "erected" in the White House if Trump wins.

The first time I saw her, I was actually impressed. She was relatively bright, articulate, fairly attractive and presented well. I thought she was a formidable candidate. Then I actually listened to what she was saying, figured out they were smearing Vasoline on the camera lenses and came to my senses.

Well if so that says a whole lot about her utter lack of routine observation skill. I doubt Trump would leave AGAIN, should he stay alive until 2028, nevermind the cesspool he’ll have any VP in by then.

Yah, Pence thought that too. Instead his “supporters” erected a gallows for him.

    Good luck Noem!
