    No. From senate.gov:

With the expiration of the Republican-enacted 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) approaching at the end of 2025, the U.S. Senate Finance Committee held a hearing on the upcoming tax policy debate, …

He had much worse odds in 2016 on the day before Election Day. Pick out some drapes for the Oval Office while you're at it.

    Not the debate.

That uncanny, very unique phenomenon known as Taylor Swift, would appear to get far more credit, IF the momentum holds, than the media's spin on the ambush theatre wrapped up and sold as a "debate,"

No, I don't think Cubans in Miami should have been shipped back to Cuba, and i dont think the Haitians of Springfield should be either.

...but by the same token, we can't sustain the pace of influx, and I see no problem with taking more control on who we let in, when there's nothing approaching a shortage of who wants to come here.

Eg--why do we let gang bangers in by the 100's of thousand, while we keep college educated applicants waiting in line for years?

....then the dems want to reward the cheaters with a path to citizenship (for their votes), while pretending to have a system in place, and pretending to be about Rule if Law? It serves to punish the law abiding, and reward the law breakers.

Oh man, just read that due to recent events the band Stray Cats decided to cancel their show in Springfield, OH. I understand The Black Crows have already cancelled their October show in Springfield …. as have the Turtles (reunion tour).

Actually, I have not been fishing in years. However, some of the people I’ll be with just came back from the keys. I’ll hear all about what they caught.

Yes, the city has sought help. But, and I know it won't make any difference because you'll keep repeating the same falsehoods ... they are not here illegally and there's no indication that the government dumped them there.

I'm starting to think that you secretly want Harris to win since your predictions are always wrong

Russian trolls are trying to set the stage for incredulity in the GOP for when he gets beaten again. Trying to set the gravy seals off again.

They don't even accept the results when Trump outperforms his polling numbers. Imagine if the polls showing Harris winning turn out to be spot on or god forbid if Harris outperforms thanks to enthusiasm which isn't out of the question based on rally attendance.

And once again, you show how you think of immigrants.

What "the left" didn't like about MV was that the Governor of Florida decided to use state resources to fly legal migrants from Texas to MV while lying to them about the situation to which they were going (telling the migrants that they had jobs and housing lined up when they didn't and even apparently lying to some of them about where they were going). They did this as a political stunt, not an attempt to help migrants or anybody other than DeSantis and the people who very badly needed to feel better about not liking immigrants by trying to pretend that liberals hate them too.

Meanwhile, MV collectively banded together and fed and housed them until the state told the migrants the truth (that there weren't jobs for them there and that there was no housing arranged for them as they had been told by Florida's subcontractor). The migrants then chose to leave to find a location with those things with the assistance of the state. The migrants are currently suing the state of Florida and their subcontractor for their lies and have legally been declared victims of a crime for what DeSantis did.

It is amazing how little you guys get the notion that migrants are not products but rather people who should get to make choices about their lives.

RFK Jr is a freaking loser.

After dropping out he then pushed to get his name off the ballot here in NC. Only problem is that the ballots had already been printed. NC said sorry. So he sued, and the conservative state SC said they had to remove him.

So now, the state is going to have to spend $1 million to reprint them, and more importantly, it is going to delay getting the vote by mail ballots out. Total BS.

Dude fought to get on the ballot, he should have been forced to stay on it.

Hopefully, like all the crap Diaper Don pulls, it will blow up in their faces. Pubs have always dominated mail in voting, except during the pandemic, so the delay is likely to hurt them more than dems.

Took the family to Islamorada this past July. We mostly caught snook, tarpon, trout and some other junk fish.
    Love that area down there.

How did they get from Haiti to Ohio in such large quantities and so quickly? Plenty of options much closer to their point of entry into the U.S. Who transported all of them to the middle of Ohio?

Yes, we know they are not illegal. That's what happens when you open the border for all comers the way Biden-Harris did. But here are some comments from people who actually live in Springfield, OH:

“Is there a cut-off point for the population here?” he asked. ”I mean, I feel like there should be a ‘No Vacancy’ sign right now and people are still coming in. What’s the cut-off point?”

The number of immigrants has strained healthcare services and schools and the number of car accidents has skyrocketed.

“We had a resource problem before and now we have 20,000 to 30,000 migrants who are collecting these resources and spreading our community thin,” said Dustin Geisel. “I know that I can’t get into the doctor for my children because they are booked months out.”

The challenges Springfield, Ohio faces to handle Haitian migrants

It's why I think the hubbub over Springfield will actually end up helping Trump more than hurting him, because the closer you look, the problems go well beyond pets being eaten and it is due to Biden-Harris' open borders policy. It's not a good situation Biden-Harris want to be bragging about.

They got there because Dole Fresh Vegetables has a plant there that needed workers but couldn't find them locally. So they worked with an immigration lawyer to find legal immigrants who wanted to work at the plant. They found a group of Haitians that wanted the jobs, so they brought them to Springfield to work. Now they focus their recruiting efforts on Haitians due to the Haitians already there.
