On Roe: What Trump is quoting is an often mentioned item on the right about how some legal scholars on the Left and even RBG had said the legal reasoning used to decide Roe v Wade was not well done. That did not mean they wanted it overturn but that is how Trump apparently understood it when his staff mentioned it to him at some point and it has stuck in his head like that for some reason.

 

RBG thought that Roe or more generally the right to an abortion should have been decided based the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment rather than on an implied right of privacy. She had no problem with the result and obviously didn't think that whether or not a woman had the right to an abortion should be returned the states per Trump's mantra.

When those Trump tariffs came about, I had to become a guru on HTS codes and exemption filings. We spent millions on punitive tariffs on a product from China that had no alternatives available anywhere in the world, much less the US.
