And to pile on to that, it’s not like either of them are policy hard hitters or running on a well-developed platform (she arguably had one in 2020, but it’s an unpopular one so she’s trying to distance herself from it without replacing it with anything firm). Said differently, there’s a reason her central campaign theme is “I’m a happy person” and his is “politicians are awful and they’re ruining everything.”
