Crimeans voted overwhelmingly to join Russia in 2014.

Crimea referendum: Voters 'back Russia union'

Wait a minute. You’re not one of those crazy MAGA-type election deniers, are you ?

    So did I.

Care to dispute any of those facts? Or not.

The rationale that Russia is better off today than it was on the eve of the ill-fated invasion should be comedy gold.

I thought this while war was about Russia battling Nazi's in Ukraine. What happened to that reasoning? Now were' talking about Ukraine and NATO?

We spend $850 Billion per year on defense, not $850 Million...

It changes with the wind, apparently.

I guess that's what happens when all you have are soundbites rather than having an actual intellectually-based position on the subject.

Let's just say I'm skeptical of any election that claims 95% of the votes. Which is then faithfully reported by Putin's state media. Do you think all of Putin-president-for-life elections were legit?

You don't have to be MAGA to be an election-denier. You just need to have proof.

“Nazi” is code for Ukrainians who were spoonfed “Kill Russians!” From youth and who, while small in proportion to Ukraine’s population, have nevertheless wielded an outsized influence over the nation’s affairs.

It’s not very common given seemingly cemented Western attitudes towards Russia.

Russia was the #6 economy in the world by GDP(PPP) when the war in Ukraine began. Since then Russia has surpassed Germany and Japan, rising to #4. Only China, the US and India are ahead of Russia now.

Russia's debt to GDP ratio is tiny compared to America's and it's GDP rose 4.1% last year.

Additionally Russia has acquired an estimated $14 Trillion dollars of natural resources from Ukraine (that number will rise imo). Russia now controls agricultural land that used to be called "The Breadbasket of Europe."

Why was it so important to you to degrade Russia? Because you were brainwashed. Your opinion was assigned to you.

Russia wanted to be our friend. You Democrats/RINO's/neocons wanted them to be our enemy. In retrospect, doesn't that seem kinda dumb?

Our foreign policy has largely been run by Jewish neocons who have a historical hatred for Russians. Their plan was to use Ukraine to degrade Russia and oust Putin. Then divide Russia into many separate countries and exploit it's natural resources. Didn't work for them. They did get to kill lots of Russian soldiers though, so there's that. I doubt they care about the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians who died, that was just collateral damage.

The Obama administration illegally (imo) replaced the democratically elected president of Ukraine in 2014. The new president installed by the US was hostile to Russian-speakers like the overwhelming majority of people in Crimea. 20,000 of 22,000 Ukrainian soldiers in Crimea ripped off their identifying military patches and declared they would no longer be loyal to Ukraine.

The new president of Ukraine announced that Ukraine might terminate the multi-decade lease Russia had on the Sevastopol naval base that was very important to Russia.

The people of Crimes then voted to become part of Russia, as they had been prior to 1954. Russia decided to recognize the wishes of the people of Crimea and so it was annexed.

The people of what is now known as Texas once voted to become part of the US. Our Congress voted to recognize their wishes and Texas was annexed.

Russia got Crimes the same way America got Texas. If it's good for the goose...

There you go people. Straight from the FSB to your eyes.

I mean, Jesus, where to start.

Nah, we've been down this road a million times before.

Oh, and let's not forget the Jew angle too. The cherry on top of this sundae of complete and utter nonsense.

And why do I bang on Russia. Because, at one time, I actually bought all this bullshit. Then your boy decided to step on his dick in 2022, which called for a reevaluation of previous beliefs. Needless to say, you side came up wanting after a pretty quick glance at both recent and even medieval history. Like, I never knew about the Muscovite as Mongol Bitch angle, but then you look and realize that literally nothing has changed in terms of attitude since the 15th Century. Like NOTHING. Still going after their neighbors for little things like, having the potential to challenge them. In this sense, Ukraine is no different than Novgorod.

So, the reality is they're not that big and bad, have been a paranoid dicks to their neighbors since the 14th Century and are on their last legs as a country and ethnicity. Just a waiting game baby!

Oh, and BTW liar. Not even in the top 10.
Yeah, the typical response from the dumb people with no response. Whatever. We know who you are and I personally couldn't give two shits what your commie ass thinks about anything. I doubt you're even American.

Vegas, why do you defend Russia so fervently? I see Putin himself as a ruthless killer of the opposition, and Russia as anti-free speech, with an abysmal economic system.
