Just to add, companies know about the China taking over of Tiawan, it was evident during COVID how disruptive supply chain issues can be . But it is not easy to just build new Fabs like that. TSMC them selves are trying to diversify more to other regions.

To be honest, probably means more H1b visa if done here.

If Trump was truly focused on improving America manufacturing, he should focus on stuff we where industry leaders in, such as fixing Boeing. "Jack Welch" like been counters took over and ruined the company. But that is not place for government to get into business.....
