She is not a good speaker and doesn't communicate well. Pete, Kelly, others such better speakers. Dems cheated the country by not moving Biden out early and having an open primary. Hopefully it doesn't give us 4 years of djt

Except the memory is vs Biden who is no longer a candidate. Further I would say the memory of most is that Trump was less than impressive in his showing.

Voters have not seen Trump vs Harris so the only real memory to reference would be Trump's weak first debate performance. If Rs are good with that, fine by me.

Perhaps you've not seen a debate involving the felon. He does not force his opponent to debate as all he does is spout lies ( one every 4 min. in his last with Biden) and refuses to address the moderators' prompts. You'd be better served to watch a Harris speech/rally to have any sense of her vision.

If it's a change of direction for both campaigns where's the advantage. Harris isn't an unknown and I don't think Trump really does much prep anyway.

If prep time is such a big deal then the Rs are at a big disadvantage in a VP debate. Haven't heard any complaints about that.

Lol....let's dispense with that childish notion. If anything there is now a greater need for the agreed upon debate. Looking for reasons to not have it is weak

How does that exactly change anything? "Oh, it's against Harris? We better go to Fox, then! No way we can do that on ABC!"

He reneged on nothing. Ok here ya go I agree to fight fighter A ,However fighters A handlers know he will lose, so now I have to fight fighter B and I refuse but still offer the same contest in a different venue and now you refuse . C'mon man you're telling me that Fox is going to protect Trump as much as all the rest of the Media protected Joe and Kamala? they are running the hide in the basement tactic that Joe used in 2020. I cant believe that more of us AMERICANS are not pissed that they (the media and the Democrats) hid Ole Joe's mental failings for this long. this did not just happen recently. He has been in decline for years. and that begs the question who is really calling the shots? what did you know and when did you know it? Nothing democratic about removing the candidate that has the votes and supplanting another that received 0 votes. and you call that democracy? and ontop of all that the dems screwed Bernie in 2020 and they screwed Kennedy in 2024 but all they want is free and fair elections?....BULLSHIT and all you Dem supporters know it.

Another apparent Republican who would never vote for any Democrat talking about the Democrats screwed Biden, Kennedy and Bernie Sanders. Let's not forget the way the Republicans screwed potential challengers to Trump in 2020 even cancelling several Republican primaries. While Trump had a lock on the nomination thanks to his status as the then incumbent president and his near cult like following the Republicans wanted to avoid even the possibility that more of the ten percent of the party's voters could vote reject him.

By the way you remind me quite a bit of the poster formerly known as Dadx4

Trump can win without debating Harris as he is polling far better than she is on the economy and immigration, even with her current sugar high inflated status. IOW, he's already leading on the leading issues and debating her doesn't do much for him in that regard. Historically speaking, candidates lagging on the two largest issues in the election don't win. Just more reason why Trump would be foolish to cave on the debate.

That’s actually what she plans to do on ABC if Trump doesn’t show. Which is another reason I think he will.

Watch her at the democrat convention. You will get much more information about her there than any “debate”

Speaking only for myself I would much prefer to vote for Mitt Romney over either Harris, Biden or the Orange felon. Unfortunately Mitt Romney has been excommunicated from the Republican Party because he refuses to be an acolyte of Donald Trump. I would also consider voting for William Weld although he has also been effectively excommunicated from the party.

By the way and although I tend to identify as a Dem, in Virginia's open primary system I voted for Nikki Haley in the Republican primary.

A debate isn't a physical contest. No starter

Kinda sounds like ... "Yeah, I don't care where the debate is. I can take Biden down anywhere. ... Wait a minute, what? It's Harris? Holy crap! We've gotta get to Fox!"

I suppose it requires an understanding of how debate negotiations between two campaigns work.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Harris debating Trump on Fox provided that both sides agree on the moderator and if it's before a live audience the candidates would be able to invite an equal number of their supporters and also provided that the Fox debate was in addition to rather in lieu of the debate already scheduled for ABC from which Trump indicated that he would be withdrawing. If Trump continues to refuse to participate in the ABC debate there will either be two debates or none at all. The Harris campaign will not let Trump designate the forum for a single debate.
