He is also very good at getting up to speed on policy faster than most and is very capable of making course corrections he thinks are needed.

I'm not buying it either but thought I would share what was being reported.

 

This stuff is starting to feel intentional. Lead off with a batshit crazy pick, let your enemies seethe, then just go all SOP with someone like Bondi or DeSantis, essentially tilling the field for an easy nomination process. You may not "like" DeSantis, but he's perfectly qualified for this position. And from that persepective, DeSantis may be worse for the simple fact he's smarter and far more competent at implementing polity than Hegseth. You could say the same thing for Bondi.

Green in dealing with big DoD, the BID, and Strategic level leadership. I think he would be able to get up to speed on all of it very quickly.
