Trump is busy making points with the black people. In addition to reviving the Civil War, Trump would like to remove all "anti-American ideology" from America's museums. This includes not only trans-gender rights, but also any mention of racism or slavery. Those things either did not happen, or are not to be talked about.

Trump Signs Executive Order Directing JD Vance to Remove ‘Improper Ideology’ from the National Zoo, Other Institutions

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday directing Vice President JD Vance to remove “improper ideology” from institutions such as the National Zoo.

“Once widely respected as a symbol of American excellence and a global icon of cultural achievement, the Smithsonian Institution has, in recent years, come under the influence of a divisive, race-centered ideology,” wrote Trump in his executive order. “This shift has promoted narratives that portray American and Western values as inherently harmful and oppressive.”

It is the policy of my Administration to restore Federal sites dedicated to history, including parks and museums, to solemn and uplifting public monuments that remind Americans of our extraordinary heritage, consistent progress toward becoming a more perfect Union, and unmatched record of advancing liberty, prosperity, and human flourishing. Museums in our Nation’s capital should be places where individuals go to learn — not to be subjected to ideological indoctrination or divisive narratives that distort our shared history.

President Trump went on to direct Vice President Vance to “work to effectuate the policies of this order through his role on the Smithsonian Board of Regents with respect to the Smithsonian Institution and its museums, education and research centers, and the National Zoo, including by seeking to remove improper ideology from such properties, and shall recommend to the President any additional actions necessary to fully effectuate such policies.”

This administration just keeps pumping all of our time, attention and energy into these fake crises to avert attention from the real dumpster fires.

    From chemgator's article:

"President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday aimed at undoing many of the changes made during the racial reckoning movement..."

The "racial reckoning" movement led to de-policing and the deaths of roughly 30,000 blacks and thousands of Hispanics as well. The "racial reckoning" called for by the NY Times was also a call for violence against whites

I mean if anything is "anti-American" ideology, wouldnt it be the Confederacy, who rebelled against the USA and the Constitution?

Ironically, the Confederacy states became rabid pro-Union after the war. If they smoldered after defeat, they didn’t smolder for long.

and to think that so many minorities and latinos voted for him.

i just wonder who is sitting where coming up with all of these acts for him to sign, legal or not?

i don't even trust that he knows what he is signing anymore, just that someone told him it was great and people love it, lots of good people.

but with JD in line, who wants to 25th him and put the madman in charge

Trump Orders Crackdown on ‘Improper Ideology' at Smithsonian

Trump targeted the National Museum of African American History, which he claimed promoted the idea that "hard work," "individualism," and "the nuclear family" are facets of "White culture," while also criticizing the Women's History Museum, which is in development, for its "plans on celebrating the exploits of male athletes participating in women's sports."

The president seems hellbent on the erasure of anything remotely DEI-related and drew widespread backlash earlier this month after the removal of numerous Black, Latino, and women webpage memorials from the Pentagon's Arlington National Cemetery website. Some of the pages were later restored and artificial intelligence was blamed for the accidental takedowns.
    .................................
Per his order on Thursday, spending will be prohibited on exhibits or programs that "degrade shared American values, divide Americans based on race, or promote programs or ideologies inconsistent with Federal law and policy." He stated that Vance and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget will work with Congress to overlook future appropriations to the Smithsonian Institution.

The Smithsonian spans 21 museums and, per its website, is the world's largest museum, education and research complex, encompassing 14 education and research centers, and the National Zoo - "shaping the future by preserving heritage, discovering new knowledge, and sharing our resources with the world." As the Trump administration tightens its grip on America's history, which parts of the country's heritage will be preserved remains to be seen.

"Sanitized," is exactly the right word for what Trump is doing. It's synonymous with "cleansing." Basically, ethnic cleansing without bullets.

One must conclude that, yes. Given the haste and vigor with which they are pursuing their agenda, it is the logical conclusion.

One of the only "positives" of things like this is watching people ignore it - knowing how many Trump voters read about this vileness and either just pretend it's not happening, or ...... agree with it, but don't have the sack to say so.

So, hey!! Where ya at, Trumpies?!

How do you feel about this one? Just gonna add it to the list of things you pretend aren't happening? But it's OK because, you're all ... like ...... in favor of Trump's great policies?

(Good Lord, it must be tough being in the Trump cult. Having to ignore so much filth you enabled, to pretend to still have values. Gross.)

I spent many vacations during my childhood visiting Civil War battlefields and museums. There was nothing racist about them. If anything was racist it was the tearing down of these monuments to please folks who wanted to put on a show that they were doing it for African Americans.

I have to say this one area where Democrats brought it on themselves taking down the civil war era monuments. It was pretty clear that there wasn't universal support for what they were doing and they weren't going to stay in power forever. It's all too easy for Republicans to get payback in some way.
