Yes he was a whack job although his real motivation was the invasion of Ukraine (see his history including a failed attempt to volunteer to fight the Russians in Ukraine) and the support of the Russian leader responsible for the invasion by the defeated former president. I’d put him in the far right (as in extreme). The most anti-Joe Biden folks within the Democrat party were Bernie/Warren supporters who are far left. Some of the most vitriolic attackers come from within the parties.
