Already mentioned it. The guy essentially evolved from a pro-Trumper to a never Trumper almost certainly based on the single issue of support for Ukraine. He also had a long rap shot and reputation as somewhat of a nut case for years.

 

Cause and effect? Both are saying it. But to me, the fear porn “is la raison de son existence.” Without the fear porn, there is no platform. And I also believe the Left’s rhetoric is not as “violent” as Trump’s. Again, Trump is saying in literal terms that if you don’t vote for him, you will die in a War, the Jews will cease to exist, and the global map will be redrawn in a Dark Age for all mankind. I just don’t hear that type of extremism coming from the Left.

That said, I am a Never-Trumper and therefore admittedly lack complete objectivity here. It’s how I see it, but I agree I might see it through polarized lens.

Except that Democracy IS at stake, when one side nominates a convicted criminal who also enacted a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election. And Hitler comparisons are completely valid.....when someone uses almost the exact same rhetoric as Hitler.

I am curious about where it says "t's unclear where Routh obtained the rifle, especially since it is not a firearm that is available for purchase in Florida."

Is it true that his gun wouldn't be available for purchase in Florida, and what is the story with that?

The DailyMail is reading something in the charging affidavit and not understanding what it means and why it’s there.

Affidavit confirms that it’s an SKS rifle.

One of the elements of the charge for possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number is that the firearm have previously traveled in interstate or foreign commerce.

To satisfy that requirement, the guy signing the affidavit says that, based on his experience, SKS rifles are not manufactured in Florida, meaning that it must have previously traveled in interstate or foreign commerce. All of that is true - they were manufactured in China, former Soviet republics, Yugoslavia, East Germany, and I think a few in Vietnam and North Korea.

But none of that means it’s not available for sale in Florida. While you’re not gonna find a new one on gun store shelves because it hasn’t been manufactured in like 70 years and the surplus imports mostly dried up about 30 years ago, tons and tons of them were imported and sold like crazy because they were cheap. There’s a decent chance any pawnshop you go to that sells guns may have one on the wall for sale. Heck, I personally own one I bought in Florida.

 

Maybe if you want the Hitler comparisons to stop, you should tell Trump to stop quoting directly from Mein Kamph and taking pages directly out of the Goebbel Playbook? If it talks like a Fascist and walks like a Fascist, why shouldn't the MSM and others call it out for what it is?

If I recall Vivek dropped out long before Nikki so maybe he was supporting Ramaswamy and decided to support Haley after Vivek dropped out. He also voted for Trump in 2016. I know of no real Democrats that ever voted Donald Trump. Once again the guy was a Trumper who evolved into a never Trumper. He was never a "lib".
