I found this interesting for comparison's sake. In the UK last month, this was a voter poll of top issues:

Why do you think defending against terrorism is so high?

This is a good question! Certainly the "War on Terror" has trained people to accept certain things about the American security state, and rhetorically the immigration debate is linked to that, particularly from the right (always talk about jihadists slipping through the border from them). I don't think this is a positive development from a civil liberties standpoint.

And he's wrong, according to BBC it wasn't even an interview.

Musk runs a Trump PAC and said in the "interview" that he wouldn't do this with Kamala. That makes this an illegal in kind campaign contribution to Trump. Of course, we can expect nothing to happen to Musk.

I don't know if Trump thought this would just be transcribed onto Twitter, but he sounded like he had his dentures out, like Elmer Fudd minus 100 IQ points.

He told Musk he would flee to Venezuela if he loses the election to avoid extradition for his crimes.

All in all, another total disaster for Trump.

Because one of the people running in November orchestrated an insurrection the last time he ran?

Yes, Harris should just keep doing what she’s doing. Talking at people, with a teleprompter. Zero interviews, zero questions. It’s a solid strategy. Nobody will get to know her. I don’t blame the DNC machine. Imagine what voters would do if she actually gave interviews or answered questions. 2020 gives us a glimpse of what voters would do. So I agree. Keep on keeping on, because the second she goes off script in a non-controlled format, she’s done.

    Hilarious.
But it has been a rough couple of weeks for Maga. Trump becoming more unglued by the second, Ukraine rolls into Russia, VP candidate is a cross dresser, Elon's chat debacle last night.

    It's been rough.

There were a couple of things that pushed Elon that way. First, there was the election interference by social media in 2020. Obviously, Musk was very interested in that ordeal, as he ended up buying Twitter for $44 billion in 2022. Then he watched the liberal media and also President Biden dump on him, because he had the audacity to expose said election interference. There's also the ordeal with his son. You don't have to agree with his politics, but I wouldn't call the man indecisive. I don't see him going full broke woke tomorrow, if that's what you're getting at. He's had some things happen that he'll never forget and I do love how hated he is by your side, for nothing more than revealing what happened behind closed doors.

The Trump Campaign’s ‘Please Shut Up’ Phase (msn.com)

"The X Spaces interview delivered Donald Trump without makeup or dress-up, talking unselfconsciously: manic, boastful, untruthful, aggrieved, abusive, obsessive, random, ignorant, tedious, bitchy—and ultimately, formless and endless. You might think a major-party presidential nominee would have other claims on his time, some sort of deadline, if only to get some sleep to ready himself for the next day’s campaigning. But no. At no point in the explosion of talk could one guess whether it would continue for another five minutes or another five hours."

It does feel like Trump won't shut up, is only speaking to people who are already voting for him, and giving Harris plenty of new Ammo.

    I can’t even:

Musk: "Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed but now they're full cities again."

    Trump: "That's great. That's great."

Musk: "Yeah so it's not as scary as people think."

Will Kam Harris accept Elon Musk’s offer to be interviewed on X? She should.

Trump and Musk are being sued by the NLRB for patting each other on the back for firing striking workers. Both doing so and threatening to do so are illegal.

Even if only 1 person was able to log in and listen to the conversation, that's still more people than have listened to a Kamala conversation in the past month. Let that sink in...

Is that actually true? Because if it is, there has not been nearly enough attention given to this.

That’s not being intellectually honest. Kamala started what? 19 point second Trump, according to your cailypolls?

And she is beating him, according to any polls,or at worst at a “call ‘em” according to others.

IN LESS THAN A MONTH. After pretty much every observer handed Trump the win in a silver platter after his “fight, fight, fight” moment, which has all but been lost to the AD public.

Kamala, t least this past month—before her Convention has even been held— is definitely doing something right, and she is being listened to, in the right way, more than your guy.

    At least for the moment.

Always great when your interview sees you slapped with an unfair labor practices complaint lol.
