Sexist.. lol. I for one remember when you were here during the Hillary run. You actually never used her real name but instead sexist derogatory nicknames.

Did that ever matter to Trumph? He appointed DeVos to SoE. For him, it's like a kickball game where he gets to pick his team of friendy friends.

Hasn't announced anything, but we can all be assured that he has "concepts" of plans.

There are other key pieces of legislation linked to the fed, namely Title I and Individuals w Disabilities Education Act.

Agree, but he will try to gut its funding and "reallocate" it to his friends.

The DoE probably screws up education more than it helps, but certain provisions are key, esp. for marginalized communities. I referenced IDEA just above. Another piece is 21st C Learning Grants, which provide resources in low-income areas. It's now referred to as "21st C Community Learning Center Services." When I taught school, we were awarded that grant for a 6-yr period and developed a collection of after-school enrichment programs - reading, drama, music. I had a beginning band, which was wildly successful, affording a unique opportunity for those kids. It also paid a fair wage, which supplemented my shitty teacher salary. It appears that the current iteration of the grant is for community learning centers, providing a place for children a safe place to spend the time (and get tutoring/etc) between the end of the school day and the time at which their parents return from work. It's part childcare/part enrichment and when coordinated appropriately, makes a huge difference for children in families of need. I can virtually guarantee that Trumph's dipshit administration will try to gut this program.

I am glad to see that I misunderstood your pictures. I didn't see "then" and "now" and just assumed (I know, I know) the top picture was the new haircut. I like the longer hair better.

Maybe to get Thune out of DC and run for Governor of SD in a special election? Rick Scott would approve.

I would have preferred that he abolished the department.

Anyone thinking that immigration is not going to be run out of the White House, has not been paying attention. Noem is likely going to be a figurehead in this position since all the major calls are going to be being made above her.

you are correct - I called her the hildabeast and it was definitely derogatory , which is why you saw me just call her Hillary in a post yesterday. Things change.

Is this Noem woman the one that was committing adultery with the former Trump campaign manager who was charged with a crime?

Wait, there are a lot of former Trump campaign managers who've been charged with crimes. Not Manafort.....
    Not Bannon....

Lewandowski! Wasn't she committing adultery with Cory Lewandowski?

Definitely. I think the New York Post has been considered an extremely credible source by Republicans, so I'm going to believe THEM. On the other hand, of course her spokesman would lie about an affair. What, you'd expect her spokesman to tell the truth?

To be fair though, at least she apparently wasn't like Republican Lauren Boebert, who was filmed publicly tugging on the privates of a man who was not her husband.

Married Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has engaged in a years-long affair with longtime Donald Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski, multiple sources told The Post Friday.

Though no images of the two getting frisky are known to exist, the pair have been less than discreet about their relationship, with one source recalling them making out at a hotel bar during the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Fla.

“I remember it was so absurdly blatant and public,” said the person, who recalled Noem and Lewandowski getting “handsy” at the bar of the Hyatt Regency Orlando with between 100 and 200 others around.

“It wasn’t like 2 a.m.,” the source said. “It isn’t like we caught them at some dive bar miles away. It’s a lobby bar where everyone is staying and so there’s a bajillion political operatives and journalists and electeds around. I remember I saw it with my own eyes and a couple other people saw it and the blatantness was absurd.”
