Yep, no red flags there. And people still reelected him after his Chiquita was traded in

Hard to believe we still have people on here defending this cretin. It's ok, you don't have to defend every lowlife Trump picks for a position in his administration. Some of them, like Gaetz, simply aren't worth debasing yourself for.

    But it's fun to watch.

That's about the only positive about watching trump continue to debase our country.

Does Matt Gaetz need Senate confirmation to become AG for 210-420 days?

I guess if the goal is to destroy a cabinet level department the right man for the job is a gross incompetent whose primary agenda is to prevent the said department from operating effectively.

One thing that occurred to me is that some have argued that people who do not have kids not only lack critical life experiences but also that they don't have a sufficient stake in the future to lead. Does a purported informal adoption of a teen satisfy these qualification considerations? Was the purported adoption an effort to get ahead of this story due to the payments or to make Gaetz appear (along with his marriage) more of a family man?

since the report has been hacked, it will be made public by some media outlet and then we will see what if anything is there- I base my assertions on the fact that this stuff was investigated by the DOJ and no charges were brought. We seem to have a lot of people on here that even with no facts just innuendo are positive he is guilty. If the report proves he is then he should be dumped, but until we have that report all we have at this moment is not a damn thing.

Elon Musk's largest enterprises Tesla and SpaceX have been very successful. His takeover of Twitter/X has been a failure if measured strictly using financial metrics although financial success was was probably never his goal with the acquistion. He wanted his personal social media platform and didn't care if he lost many millions of dollars in doing so since the cost was very small in relation to his net worth. Whether or not Musk is successful at reducing government waste is also irrelevant as far as he is concerned since the real goal of his relationship with Trump is reducing government oversight of Tesla, SpaceX and his other enterprises will have succeeded.

You just can’t make this stuff up

The richest man in the world coming to the defense of a sexual deviant to put “powerful bad actors in prison”.

    Every accusation is a confession..

A critical qualification for the nation's top law enforcement officer is having an axe to grind? I always wondered why Lady Justice is depicted as peeking through her blindfold.

The DOJ declined to prosecute due to insufficiency of evidence to get a conviction. That is not exoneration of his actions.

Would you agree that while the DOJ investigation resulted in no charges, that doesn't negate potential findings of serious misconduct uncovered by a congressional investigation? The role of AG demands not only adherence to the law but high ethical standards and public trust. In my mind, substantiated allegations of drug use and sex parties with minors demonstrate a lack of judgment and integrity incompatible with leading the DOJ. We and the DOJ itself must have confidence in the Attorney General’s moral authority...something these allegations would irreparably damage.

And how do you feel about the Speaker of the house actively trying to exert influence that this report NOT be released? Is he not actively attempting to limit disclosure and transparency, and to even cover up potential crimes?

No feelings on that because, ya know....if Trump wants the potential crimes covered up then you're on board?

    That's ridiculous.

People have referred to him as an alleged criminal, whose actions should be fully reported before leading the Justice Department.

I would challenge you to find a single person who's said he's guilty.....as opposed to a number of people who have properly asserted that there's seemingly enough evidence that this report should be released.

Conversely, though, we have a lot of Trump supporters insisting he is innocent..... in the absence of seeing this report.

    a) Wrong. We have a lot of testimony that is highly unfavorable towards him.

    b) But you, like seemingly all Trump supporters, are not insistent that the the actual truth come out? You just count on some nebulous "hack" to do the job of true stewards of justice? Pathetic.

Like I've said before - one of the main things we see from this, amusingly and truly sadly, is Trump supporters further abandonment of any and all pretense of ethics in governing. Make sure to have some popcorn, cuz its sure funny to watch.

Edit : Trumpers, cue up your 'neg' and 'funny' ratings to this post without a single legitimate rebuttal. Because that's really about all you have in your defense of covering up potential crimes.

Edit #2 : LOL, got the first drive-by neg as I typed the edit. Can't refute the points, I guess. Or remotely substantiate your false claim that people are calling Gaetz guilty.

    Lol

Musk bought Twitter like 5 years ago. It's still solid.

Way too *premature* to be calling it a failure.

Whats more, is WHY Musk bought Twitter--to have control of the national discourse on a major social media platform, in the wake of "Big Tech" crookedly manipulating the last election.

That ALONE (given the results of this past election, in which he effectively neutralized the rest of big tech) makes it a damn good investment.

NB: Shits n giggles--Elon was the richest man on the planet before he bought Twitter...and still is.
