One fact the Dems are simply ignoring. The DOJ DROPPED the investigation... I don't remember charges being made. And the DOJ would NEVER drop these kinds of investigations unless they knew he was guilty of something. More BS from a politically weaponized DOJ.

Here's Matt Gaetz's side of the OLDAZZ story.

I'll bet the stores within a 50 radius of DC are sold out of paper shredders. FedEx, Amazon and UPS drivers are working overtime.

    Hard disagree.

Thomas may be the most controversial member of the Supreme Court, but the most ideological/partisan on the current Court are Alito on the right and Sotomayor on the left, and it’s not particularly close.

Thomas actually has arguably the most consistent judicial philosophy of any current justice (it’s just one that includes some judicial theories that are out of the mainstream), but it leads him to at times vote in ways that you wouldn’t expect based on a straight R/D split.

By contrast, Alito and Sotomayor are essentially guaranteed party-line votes.

According to every rating I've seen Thomas and Alito are very close on the right. And Sotomayor is well farthest left on the left.

Alito is definitely more hacky than Thomas, who has a few idiosyncratic views informed by his black nationalism. That being said, on questions that directly benefit Republicans, they are pretty much indistinguishable 99% of the time. They both generally vote lock step with the wackiest decisions that come out of the right-wing circuit courts.

They are nothing more than an unabashed criminal organization.

It appears that we'll never know, because......it appears that they are unwilling to release the report. :)

I'm sure that the guy is totally innocent of everything, and there is nothing embarrassing, unacceptable or criminal which would be revealed by the investigation. And that is why they will REFUSE TO RELEASE IT. Right? :)

And if they don't release the report, then.....it never happened, right? :):)

And you know this by.....reading the.....uh, report of the investigation that apparently will not be released?

Do you even take note of the absurdity of some of your statements and positions?

Thomas is definitely the most conservative on the Court, which makes him show up pretty far to the right, but him showing as being well to the right is the product of a coherent judicial philosophy rather than party line votes and there are some places he diverges from the GOP.

Since the assertion was “most partisan,” I disagreed with that being an accurate description of Thomas.

The DOJ dropped the investigation on Gaetz... their actions told us they had NOTHING. But I'm sure we can all figure that out, right. It's NOT that hard to put 2 and 2 together.

So he … [checks notes] … asked Trump for a pardon and took the completely unnecessary step of resigning from Congress right now for nothing?

Seems like hair splitting to me but fine I'll include both alioto and Thomas as partisan hacks. Toss in ethics and the winner is Thomas by a hair.

Of course you ignored the post I was referencing stating that Garland was a partisan hack.

If a GOP investigation found nothing wouldn't you want that information to come out?

The fact that the leader of the house wants to block the release makes me feel like there is something to hide
