What a trifecta. That's the 3 sorriest cabinet picks of all time right there. Trump's incompetence and total unfitness on full display.

I'm not sure I agree with the premise that DeSantis and Gaetz like each other all that much in the first place. I'm pretty sure very few people 'like' the guy, particularly anyone that wasn't born with a silver spoon and/or isnt a hedonistic playboy weirdo.

Hegseth divorced his first wife and remarried shortly afterward, having three children with his second wife. While still married to his second wife, he began an affair with Fox executive producer Jennifer Rauchet, who became pregnant. He subsequently left his second wife with 3 kids, married Rauchet, and they now have one child together. Rauchet also has three children from a previous marriage, which she left.

In his 2016 book, In The Arena, Hegseth wrote:
“The focus of family policy should instead be on strengthening families and creating good citizens by preventing divorce of parents with kids.”
This statement was later edited in a subsequent revision of the book.

Probably at a Deputy Director position at the DoD like he was in before. I think he was more suited for NSA than SECDEF. No military background, but a strong background in theory, history, modeling (as in war gaming, not Zoolander), and the aspects of national power that are not strictly military. Often that makes for a better strategist than one with a strictly military background. His book Strategy of Denial is very good and worth a read.

DeSantis should appoint himself to the Senate seat.

yep. I was going to post something like that. Obviously trump will find someone that will do his bidding regardless what it is. But Gaetz is so bad he’ll be less effective. Plus maga will have to defend his past.

    Thank you. NSA makes sense.

Not sure I'm completely down with his "forget Russia and pivot East" theory as I view the conflicts as connected, but I've seen several interviews and he's a smart guy.

Yeah, I see it that way, too, as you probably know. Need to remember, though, he wrote that book before Russia actually invaded Ukraine. When I met him in 2023, his view was not “just give Russia whatever it wants, so we can focus on China.”

you did not have a problem with Bill Clinton’s philandering so why does Pete’s philandering upset you so much?

We'll see what happens, but if the Dems and the RINOs successfully block the Gaetz appointment, I am 99% confident that DeSantis will give Gaetz the Florida Senate seat... just my opinion.

Gaetz can do more damage to the Dems and the RINOs in the Senate... in the long run and in short order.

You do get the goal of government is to help Americans, not damage them?

Lol... is spending 33+ trillion dollars that we don't have helping Americans?

Is a weaponized intel apparatus, complete with banana republic type invented crimes against their opposition, helping Americans?

Is uncontrolled inflation good for Americans?
