She has said she's a dove (outside of the war on terror at least). She famously met with Assad and got some push back after saying he wasn't an enemy of the U.S. With respect to Russia, she has said things which seemed to sugar coat Russia's authoritarianism - e.g., saying their media and ours aren't really different. She blamed Biden for Russia invading Ukraine. See below. She has also said that Ukraine can't win anyway, suggesting the U.S. shouldn't bother offering aid or weapons to help. Even assuming she has the purest motives possible, no way that Russia isn't very happy about her emerging power.

This war and suffering could have easily been avoided if Biden Admin/NATO had simply acknowledged Russia’s legitimate security concerns regarding Ukraine’s becoming a member of NATO, which would mean US/NATO forces right on Russia’s border

She is a 20 years in the NG and has deployed. No real IC experience so a lot like the SecDef pick but I think she has time to grow in the office where the SecDef has to hit the ground running.

Just to be clear here: US MAN = Russian Prada is a poke at our media, not a compliment to Russia's.

And it's well grounded in truth.

    That. Is. Fact.

Interesting op ed. News source is right leaning.

“Trump has made some strong selections for top national security roles in his new administration. However, in this case, Trump put his desire for loyalty before the interests of the nation. Senate Republicans should join Senate Democrats in preventing his mistake from taking effect.”

Republican senators, including Sens. Tom Cotton (R-AR), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Senate Majority Leader-elect Sen. John Thune (R-SD), now face a choice between putting the nation first or submission to Trump. “

    Ever heard her talk?

Crisp, clear, no ambiguity, very level headed, common sense.

That btw, is the common theme in Trump POTUS 2.0:

    The return of common sense.

Pete H, Marco R, Matt G8z, Tulsi, Elon, Ram'swammy, Joe Rogan...

    All grounded in common sense.

A breath of fresh air, a stark contrast from the leftist freak parade that's run this country to damn near ruin...

If it was meant as a critique of American media, I think it was a really bad one. Sure, there is partisan propaganda, but our political leaders, D and R, are constantly mocked and ridiculed in our media - sometimes fairly and sometimes not. Mocking and demonizing our presidents, in particular, is basically an American pastime.

What Tulsi said there reminded me of when O’Reilly asked Trump about Putin being a killer, and Trump responded by saying we have a lot of killers too and asking O’Reilly whether he thinks America is so innocent. There is a diplomatic way of responding to that which doesn’t involve playing games of false equivalences to run interference for him.
