Good question, could have been someone big. But at this point no one with sense is going to do that, even to support Trump, it’s basically all sunk cost. My bet would be Trumpolytes thinking they’re getting the world’s best deal since it fell so far and he’s so awesome at everything he touches. But we may never know.

Not really. 100 million is 10k people each buying 10k in stock. He’s got millions of devotees who would do that in a heart beat, heck there’s probably a cohort of Trump fans who got burned the first time that think they can make their money back now.
The other group would be day traders thinking they could take advantage of the psychology of the trump folks and make some quick coin after he didn’t sell. If it’s them, we will see it fall back in the next few days. No sign of that yet though.

When I was twelve the hunt brothers had just ran the silver price up to 50 dollars a share. The price had collapsed. It was about twelve dollars a share at the time. I told my mom to invest. She put a little money in and it fell to about 8 dollars a share. I thought my dad was going to kill me. Instead he laughed and said don’t take investment advice from a twelve year old. I think the same answer works for anybody who buys anything that trump is selling.

This is over the last week and generally perceived because he’s doing better in the polls and odds increasing for him winning.

(This is unfortunate for those of us who realize how harmful he’ll be to the US and all of humanity)

Steady drama and steady stock growth since mid september.

Trump Media’s Soaring Share Price Masks Truth Social’s Internal Strife - The New York Times

The parent company of former President Donald J. Trump’s social media platform has soared on the stock market over the past month, despite growing turmoil behind the scenes.

In recent weeks, Trump Media & Technology Group has dismissed or pushed out at least three senior managers amid employee complaints about the leadership of Devin Nunes, the former Republican congressman who is chief executive, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

The departures came after several employees anonymously sent a letter, which they described as a whistle-blower complaint, to Trump Media’s board a few weeks ago. The letter accused Mr. Nunes of being over-reliant on foreign contract workers and mismanagement. A copy of the letter was reviewed by The New York Times.

Based on revenue, should trump lose this stock will lose most of its value. Penny stock?
