Outside of the Facebook and Google realm, streaming services have generally not gone well. It requires more data than people realize to run it well, an asset that "Truth Social" obviously doesn't have. I would suggest that most people knew that they had no ideas. This is worse than no idea: a very expensive and bad idea.

down another 15% today. under $23, that $30 resistance didn't have much to it

I wonder if enough people are burned by this if they will finally sour on drumph or if they will continue to blame others for his problems and them losing their arse

‘DJT’ stock tumbles as Trump and many others file for the sale of their shares (msn.com)

Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. took a deep dive Monday, after the social-media company filed for the sale of a large amount of shares so its stockholders, including Donald J. Trump, could cash in.

The company’s S-1 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission includes the potential sale of up to 114,750,000 shares held by the former president.
    .......................................................................
The list of other selling stockholders includes Trump associates and Wall Street big wigs:

    • Pam Bondi, who is currently a partner at government lobbying firm Ballard Partners, and was Florida’s Attorney General from 2011 to 2019 and has been a well-known Trump supporter, has filed for the sale of up to 106,250 shares, valued at about $2.9 million at current prices.
    • Trump Media Chief Executive Devin Nunes, a Trump-aligned former Republican congressman, who was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Trump, filed for the sale of 115,000 shares currently valued at about $3.1 million.
    • Boaz Weinstein, founder of Wall Street investment adviser Saba Capital Management L.P., has filed for the sale of 534 shares, while Saba Capital has filed for the sale of 194,901 shares, with the total valued at $5.3 million.
    • Investment bank EF Hutton LLC filed to sell 86,719 shares, valued at $2.3 million.

One mark of a strong well-run company can be that insiders/company officers are buying the stock. When they want to undo their exposure to it, it’s not a stock I would want to have.

It had stabilized a bit (relatively) around 30, but then they announced the new shares and crushed it again. Dumbest possible time to announce it.

"They'll do anything to discredit President Trump," another user replied. "God has different plans and will save the nations in HIS Perfect timing."

"DWAC has fallen over 30% over the last few trading days but they don't cease trading. They don't like President @realDonaldTrump and his policies, especially his creation, Truth Social, so they are trying to destroy his company, DJT," one user claimed.

"I think daddy Trump has some surprises for us, we just have to be patient and wait for it," one Truthsayer recently wrote on Trump Media stock. "NFA but I'll buy more tomorrow. Gotta love the price."

Here's how users on Truth Social are feeling about Trump Media's steep stock decline

I mean, to understand the numbers and valuation behind a stock, you have to have a pretty good knowledge base. Whether that is formal education or self education, either way. The numbers tell us that those with more formal education aren't generally Trump supporters. So what we've got is just a bunch of people blindly tossing money at something with Trump's name on it and sadly losing their ass

According to this, Nunes was only awarded 115,000 shares as CEO, so he is selling everything. The CEO cashing out everything he owns is a red flag the size of Alaska, and if I thought there was any "smart money" left in this stock, I would think that alone would be the reason for the ~25% drop in the last two days.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nunes resigns after the sale is completed. That is a "kiss my ass, I quit" move right there.

That was kinda my point. I don’t want to see anyone lose their life savings, that’s awful. But if you invest all you have in an any one thing, let alone investment vehicle you don’t understand simply because the guy who told you the election was stolen from him said to, it’s a rather Darwinian outcome. Even a financially illiterate person can spend a few hours online learning basic investment strategies, and they all involve diversification, and managing risk. It’s your money, you own the risk.
The sad part is that guy may lose everything, and he will likely blame short sellers or unfair press, or someone else within DJT for letting the orange one down, and be right back there first in line for the next shill. If they haven’t learned by now what he is, they never will.

I see Pam Bondi is in there as well. It's fascinating how these low ranking Trumpaloons are in on the grift. I'm sure it extends to all kinds of other schemes we never see.

Yikes. That sounds like a panic announcement. Would make me think they have no idea what they are doing.

What kind of content would DJT stream? There's already a ton of free streaming services out there, and it's not like DJT has the cash to really pay for premium content. Nor can they create their own...But I'd imagine there are ideas, like a "My Pillow Stories", featuring Stormy Daniels sounds like something Trump might be involved with!

I tried to start a pool of guessing when trump stock would close below a dollar. No one wanted any dates not in April.

What I haven't seen is an analysis of the impact these massive losses are going to have on political contributions. The pockets do have bottoms.
