Trump Hosting News Conference: 2:00pm EDT today

You can ask trump all the questions you like but the answers are always the same talking points, never anything of substance just more "I am the greatest and they are the worst ever".

Funniest part was him saying in reference to Hillary "people'" were saying lock her up and I could have done it because she was guilty, but I was very protective of her.

 

He said he’s “ leading by a lot”… LoL… has he not looked at polling since July 21?

 

You definitely call a press conference to say "please, please talk to me" when its in the bag

 

I'm not excusing Harris. But I asked a question: Has Trump been facing tough questions?

Is this dispatching them with ease?

I couldn’t hear all of the questions in this press conference, but there’s one where he was asked about allies being concerned that he’s not taking the race seriously since he hasn’t gone to many swing states recently and he reacted to it by shaking his head and telling the reporter what a stupid question it was, so maybe?

(I think the question of whether someone attempting to assassinate him with an AR-15 changed his opinions of whether people should have access to them was, at a minimum, not a friendly question.)

 

My read of today’s press conference is that his campaign can read polls. I thought Trump did a good/decent job of hitting on what moderates care about and staying relatively on script for the first five minutes (e.g, Walz’s stance on transgender juveniles, American energy, etc.). Then he turned into Trump and just went on weird rants.

The most awkward portion, in my humble opinion, was when he was speaking on Biden’s behalf about how mean Nancy Pelosi and Obama were to Biden and how much it hurt Biden’s feelings.

 

He's so bad.

Seeing your post and that to which it was responding, I realized the media …… both active and retired …… are pretty good at asking really stupid questions.

I cant resist asking you if you agree with the Trump campaign theory that having a lawyer answer questions from normal people makes them less likeable ...

 

Which is a lie. He tried to have her prosecuted but the WH Counsel pushed back.
