    I am unequivocally hateful to people who make fun of disabled veterans. That’s just how I roll.

    Apparently multiple people in the room, generals, including his own chief of staff, confirmed he said this. At some point you have to decide if everybody else in the world is a liar, or is it Trump?

    You really should reflect on who you are supporting.

    You realize a few years ago we had Obama threads about tan suits, threads started using doctored images claiming all kinds of dumb crap…and my favorite, a thread claiming they thought Obama might have had a boner in a pic due to a slight bulge in his pants… how many did you start?

    Trump Has Mocked the U.S. Military His Whole Life
    According to the Atlantic magazine, during a trip to France to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 U.S. Marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers.” Indicating that he didn’t understand why the United States had intervened at all in Europe in 1917, Trump also reportedly asked aides, “Who were the good guys in this war?”

    The Atlantic article, portions of which have been corroborated by the Associated Press, the Washington Post, and Fox News, also reported that when Trump aborted a visit to another World War I cemetery, blaming the weather, he remarked, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In addition, Trump reportedly said that the presence of maimed U.S. veterans would upset spectators at a military parade, commenting, “Nobody wants to see that.”    ​

    A shocked John Kelly told Trump 'those are the heroes' after the president said having wounded veterans in a military parade 'doesn't look good,' book reveals


    "Look, I don't want any wounded guys in the parade," Trump said, according to the book. "This doesn't look good for me."

    He noted that at the Bastille Day parade, there were several wounded veterans, many of whom were in wheelchairs after losing limbs in battle.

    According to the book excerpt, Kelly — a retired Marine Corps General — could not believe what Trump had asked.

    "Those are the heroes," he told Trump, the book reads. "In our society, there's only one group of people who are more heroic than they are — and they are buried over in Arlington."

    Kelly's son, Robert was a lieutenant killed in action in Afghanistan and is among the veterans buried at Arlington, according to the book.

    "I don't want them. It doesn't look good for me," Trump said again.

    And let's not forget this quote from Trump.
    Donald Trump Calls Avoiding STDs His 'Personal Vietnam'
    Although it was an obvious attempt at levity it demeaned the service of all actual Vietnam vets who put their lives on the line for their country and didn't have the luxury of a wealthy father who could in effect a bribe a podiatrist to write a letter so that his son could avoid service.

    Not doubting you but could you provide a link that shows proof that Trumps dad bribed a podiatrist, who the podiatrist was, and such?

    May or may not have been an actual bribe but considering that the podiatrist was a tenant of Fred Trump it's not an unreasonable inference.

    Perhaps the fact that he has played golf for most of his life, and seems to never had any problem walking preempts the need for a link about something that would have happened in the 60s?

    It strikes me that if all the posts in here, and all the horrible stuff you hear in politics these days, and Trump, my post about a corroborated interaction involving several generals is flagged as particularly hateful by Rick.

    I put this is a separate thread because you can’t seemingly go much lower on the spectrum of disqualifying behaviors than to insult disabled veterans. Perhaps pedophilia , maybe.
