That's because other candidates don't commit felonies and surround themselves and their businesses with felons.

Yep, the list is quite long. The company he keeps.

Donald Trump is now a felon. His campaign chairman was a felon. So is his deputy campaign manager, his personal lawyer, his chief strategist, his National Security Adviser, his Trade Advisor, his Foreign Policy Adviser, his campaign fixer, and his company CFO. They’re all felons

It's being applied unilaterally against our guys, and ignored for theirs. That's called weaponization.

Weaponization of the criminal justice system has had the effect of rendering the label "convicted felon", a punchline to bad jokes. Damn near a badge of honor. Like Cubans prosecuted by Castro. When they got out, they harbored disdain and resentment for the regime.

Not an ounce of remorse or guilt of the silliness they were *convicted* of.

    Ergo...we've become a banana republic.

They have to prosecute everyone equally to give the illusion of impartiality, its 3D chess you couldn't understand

Cmon...sweetheart deal stopped by an inopportune judge, who apparently wasn't in on the joke.

No one said the leftists control all of the justice system let alone judiciary.

It could be that all these prosecutors, judges, and juries are in on it to target and convict Republicans...

Or, just hear me out because I know this is crazy...

Maybe they committed crimes, got caught, and were prosecuted through the legal system like any other person in the country who committed a crime.

Let's get past the fact that CNN is a news agency, not Bragg's campaign spokesperson. Just actually read the second paragraph you quoted.

And also, the moment a jury was selected, it moved out of Bragg's ability to do anything but present the case to Trump's Constitution-guaranteed jury of his peers. They decided DJT was guilty as sin, not Bragg and definitely not Biden, who couldn't dictate or direct any part of this case.

To think so deeply and yet still come up with nonsense...

While also referencing that, despite not ending the investigation, he has his own agenda. I.e., the Trump case was underway before him, and he had the responsibility to see the investigation through.

So obnoxious to read such contortions of information to reach the preconceived conclusion.

Democrat John Edwards was prosecuted for similar crimes in 2008 (although he didn't try to claim it was a "legal" expense, to my knowledge), but don't let that stop you.

There is the issue of jurisdiction. A DA should not prosecute something out of his jurisdiction. If he does, then he makes himself an equal lawbreaker with the person he is prosecuting. There is no felony Trump committed that Alvin Bragg had the jurisdiction to prosecute to my knowledge. And his interpretation of the statute Trump supposedly violated that makes him a felon is a novelty. To my knowledge based on everything I have read, it has never been applied or interpreted the way Alvin Bragg applied and interpreted it.

I have even read Never Trumper people come out and criticize this verdict FWIW. That is how bad this is. They still say they are Never Trumpers, but they are saying the verdict is a sham.

Guess our POTUS shan't be bothered with visiting those countries if they can't be bothered to make exceptions.

    Garsh, our severe loss..
