MAGA - Does this make you proud? Are the voters going to sit on their hands and let this kind of reprehensible behaivor slide?

Trump administration evicts former Coast Guard leader from her house with 3 hours notice

President Donald Trump's administration evicted former Coast Guard Commandant Linda Fagan from her home with three hours of notice on Tuesday — not even enough time to gather her personal effects — according to two people familiar with the incident.

Fagan, a four-star admiral and the first woman to lead a branch of the military, was removed from her post as the Coast Guard’s top officer on Trump’s second day in office. Officials at the Homeland Security Department — which oversees the Coast Guard — cited border security issues and an “excessive focus” on diversity, equity and inclusion among the reasons for her dismissal.

Fagan made a convenient target for a new president who wanted to flex his muscle. The process for firing her was less complex than for dismissing chiefs of the four main branches of the military. More than that, the move allowed him to send signals about his anti-DEI agenda and desire to stem the flow of illegal immigrants and goods into the United States.

Throwing her out of her house on short notice went a step further. "It's petty and it's personal," one Fagan ally said.

There is nothing about Trump's actions that isn't petty and personal. He is a standard issue dictator with a ten-cent brain.

She was still living in the Admiral Quarters at Joint Base Anacostia Boiling. She was removed from her command two weeks ago. She should have known she needed to pack up and move to make way for the next commander two weeks ago. This is another nothing burger.

    Hmmm...

So she had a 60-day waiver, and was thrown out with 3 hours notice 2 weeks later.

Still think that is a nothing burger?

Did you read the article? And is a 2 week eviction notice standard practice to give to a four-star admiral to get out of their "Quarters" or home of 2 years?

"Coast Guard leaders had given Fagan a 60-day waiver to find new housing, according to one of the sources. But on Tuesday, Homeland Security officials told the acting commandant, Kevin Lunday, that he had to kick her out because "the president wants her out of quarters," according to one of the people familiar with the incident."

knowing that, what is your opinion of the decision now?

is this the kind of commander in chief the military deserves?

They should have honored the 60 day notice.

$Trump is a little brat. Causes anyone working under him to lose all integrity and honor.
Do people really enjoy behaving this way?

    I disagree with this sentiment.
Trump will do many things I agree with. (Based on his political leanings). This isn't one of them fwiw.

But isolating those subjects isnt "carrying his water" ...though I am sure that will be the weapon of choice to silence conversation on this board. (That isnt aimed at you, as I find you a very fair poster).

After spending a lifetime of duty in service to her country, and rising to 4 star Admiral, why would she deserve any appreciation or deference from bone-spurs or a TH mod? Pathetic.

I think it's clear that part of Trump's appeal, at least for some of his supporters, is that he's going to treat the people they don't like badly. They have a lot of animosity and feel helpless they can't act on it. But, by god, Trump will get 'em!

Reread his post. He was simply excuse-making, not defending a shared value. I’ve noticed more of this from Ok in the past year’s time.
