    Bottom of a pint glass
Nobody wanted to point out the irony of MAGA pushing a holiday celebrating illegal immigration into America?

The Hualapai tribe on the west side of the Grand Canyon sells a T-shirt with four native American heroes carrying rifles with the quote underneath "Fighting terrorism since 1492". They seem to be handling things pretty well . . .

What a relief. You won't have to be triggered anymore.

Biden didn't really change the name of the holiday. His proclamation stated that it could also be referred to as Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Essentially he said that either name was correct. There is a difference. Apparently Trump finds references to the original inhabitants of North America offensive to his belief that only Caucasians of European decent matter,

I'm by no means attached to Columbus day. And good Lord you know I think Trump is an idiot. I am saying that there are times that populism is just a phrase. Certain populist things are traditional. Traditions are part of the fabric of any society.

Some traditions are offensive to some parts of the population. Slavery would be an example.

My wife is Italian, the daughter of a local Chicago-area politician from the old neighborhood. They celebrate Columbus Day like you wouldn’t believe, and don’t give a shit what anyone else calls it. Whiter than white bread Trump should take the same attitude. This is idiotic theater.
