It would be interesting how military spending by country equates to actual soldiers and armaments vs admin, health care, benefits, etc.

I think you left out the part about the US promise not to move NATO one inch to the west.

 

The current CNN headline is "ex Trump advisor warns that Trump will pull the US out of NATO" ...

Trump is a total scum bag. There is no doubt in my mind he's on Putin's payroll at this point.

Trump would be guilty of an impeachable offense by pulling out of NATO or not following it's Article V responsibilities. The US has signed treaties with NATO that he cannot unilaterally withdraw from.

 

worse, he licks Putin's and Xi's boots just to try and make them like him. that, and I'm sure that the reminder of the kompromat keeps him in line when needed

These statements emphasize just how totally unfit this man is for office. They will be getting a LOT of airtime and deservedly so.

 

We actually passed a law a couple of months ago that said he can’t do that.

If it lets him make money or keep his money, he will brown-nose with the best of them (or sell out his own family).

 

I doubt if a little thing like a law is going to phase Trump much...historically they have been non-issues to him.

 

We aren't talking about sending F-35's to Ukraine. We're talking about sending artillery shells and HIMARS missiles. I can't imagine why anyone would be ignorant enough to object to this or believe that we are "saving money" by not supporting Ukraine. We will pay through the nose for decades if we allow Ukraine to lose this war. I'm talking about trillions of dollars, easily. And it could easily lead to more wars that we wind up sending actual troops to deal with. A lot of Americans will die in future wars because of the ignoramuses in Congress licking Trump's boots.

 

Supporters of Trump should read this thread and consider the ramifications of their vote. Highly recommend The Road to Unfreedom. Mr Snyder is a historian and has done the work.
