Agree. Democrats and the left-leaning media are helping Trump with their obsession. They would be better served by ignoring the guy.

The real Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is mental instability of the deranged defeated former president a prime example being the original post in this thread and it's indeed running rampant. For examples see his performances at his MAGA rallies, his social media posts and his displays both inside and outside of the courtrooms every time he appears at one of his trials most of which do not require a personal appearance by him.

There was probably some "oh well, I said the wrong name so I'm gonna roll with it" there. I won't argue with you that Trump will say anything to get elected. But that's not unique to Trump or most politicians for that matter. Frankly, he can say whatever he needs to about Haley. She'd have us even more bogged down in forever wars.

Part of me believes there is an element of truth to what DeSantis has been saying. The media (whether they'll admit it or not) want Trump to win, because it's low hanging fruit non-stop entertaining coverage for them. Nobody tunes in to see what Biden says next. (the few times a year he actually speaks to us)

I kinda preferred it when we had a running thread of Trump's falsehoods, rather than a thread on one in particular.
But in this case, Trump either flat out lied about Haley or more likely confused Haley with Pelosi (which would also be a lie).
If Biden accused Trump of starting the Iraq War, wouldn't that be a valid discussion? Or would even bringing it up be 'mindless, infantile trip?'

Oh yes, all of the anti-Trump comments on this thread are quite informative re DT’s comment included in the OP link. Trump has free rent in the minds of so many of those affiliated with TDS. The obsessed are simply unable to ignore DT.

You include my comment about all of Trump's medical tests being positive. That's not worthy of being pointed out, it's just more TDS? It's not newsworthy that one person could be so eaten up with diseases?

There's plenty of reasonable, thoughtful discussion on this board. But obviously much of this board and political discussion everywhere consists of criticizing the other side.
Some people criticize the political leaders on the other side of the aisle. And others criticize anyone who dares criticize the leaders on their side.

Trump caused immeasurable damage to this country. Just what he did to SCOTUS alone will take years to recover from. He is the leading candidate to run again as the Republican nominee for the presidency. The fact you are questioning why thinking, educated people are concerned about this is laughable. It's not like he's running to be the chairman of the Mar-a-Lago Valentine's Day dance committee.

Did you not understand what has been written or are you just feigning this obtuseness? I don't believe I stated there was an absence of "thoughtful discussion" on Too Woke. However, there is a lot of Trump obsession ..... driven by TDA.

Having seen about the last 10 responses on the thread reminds me of why I value the block function. The responses tell me it was a post that probably would have made me post something that would get me in trouble with the moderators

Wow, talk about irony. There's a Trump supporter here who includes in his posts a biblical quote "against spiritual wickedness in high places." And he wants Donald Trump in the highest place in the land. It leaves one kind of speechless.

Regrettably, it looks like Bust. Unless he is convicted of some of his many criminal charges, he will be the nominee.
Of course maybe just discussing fact is more TDS to some.

Do you think your comment I quoted was substantive and informative (ie reasonable, thoughtful discussion) with respect to the OP and the post you quoted. If you do/did .... I'm sorry.

Let's see. I would say that the leading candidate for president of the United States said something incredibly stupid or confused. And you got upset that people criticized him for it.
    Or did I miss something?

Since you're the one who is so obsessed with TDS, I naturally assumed that it's your man who is the object or victim of this syndrome. Otherwise I don't understand your obsession.

Yes, I think my comment was substantive and informative. Do you know of, or can you conceive of, any person with a medical degree who would refer to negative test results as positive? Another question: Do you think maybe it was some stupid layman who actually wrote the Trump doctor's report? A third question: Who do you think that stupid person must have been?

I think there’s a lot of truth to this, and I think it’s too late to just put Trump on ignore. And, as someone else posted above, there are probably many media executives praying Trump stays in the limelight, because he is a walking story, good or bad, every single day.
