I cannot imagine what sort of “preventative remedy” you can have for regions that are massive, dry, and basically evolved to resist wildfires. It’s like getting angry because a city built in a marsh, often targeted by hurricanes, is badly damaged periodically. Human hubris is impressive.

Yes, but some of the rest of us read it as well. It added depth to points made by others.

MAGA is just a drunken tailgate shouting at the opposing team tailgate. End of story.

I guess so. Pretty sure most of us knew (or expected this). So, IMO, huge waste of time. As is responding to anything he posts. It's always purely rhetorical trash.

No one is blaming Trump for the fire. People are just (rightly) pointing out what a POS Trump is for his reaction to the fire. But that's what Trump does. When a natural disaster hits, rather than try to support and unify people, he uses it as an excuse to rip into his enemies and further divide people. He is a total POS.

The first time with him will be the first time for me. Always a MAGA rhetorical flame thrower from my perspective who is routinely and overtly intellectually dishonest when it comes to these things. Just look at the interaction between he and AZ and tell me I'm wrong.

Like when thousands of Americans were dying from Covid and Democrats took the high road and refused to assign blame?

I wouldn't be at all surprised to find one of Trump's operatives hired Rodriguez to set the fires and be the targeted patsy to take the blame. Not saying it happened, only that it would not surprise me.

yep. I live across the street from open space covered in sage, mt mahogany, etc. no trees until you get to a ridge about a mile away. & we get fierce winds & it’s very dry. pic from behind my house looking at smoke from a fire in July.

Speaking for myself, I’m not referrring to preventive remedies. Even in areas where the local authories allow/encourage/perform them, the only thing it does is prevent widespread contiguous fires. That helps, but doesn’t prevent.

Here we are talking a local area that has large areas of land where preventive measures are either impossible or impractical, bordered by large areas where it can and should be done. And then that entire area’s local authorities don’t bother to make sure that when the inevitable happens that they have access to and a plan distribute the water necessary to extinguish the fires.
