“It was a disaster. Even worse than Biden’s debate performance.”

    Also …

“Trump was on point and was a picture of vitality.”

In other words, a typical Trump interview.

Not sure which thread to put this in, but Kamala is going with Obama’s strategy of when they go low, we go high.

Doing my ADHD flipping between CNBC, Fox News, MSNBC and CNN she has ads all over the major news sources. Talking about unity, typical we are going to fight the big bad corporations, voice for every American, etc.

Kind of feels like Trump had a layup a month ago and tried to go Jordan from the free throw line in a dunk contest and Kamala now has a layup.

    Always interesting.

Yeah, the poster you responded to and people that liked his post are very happy with Trump and his racism. That is the part of Trump they love the most.

I'm not sure of his strategy. He has the maga/racist demographic locked up. He picks a vp to appeal to that crowd. He makes statements that make that crowd very happy.
All he does is cement a group that will never leave him.

I think I get it. Trump's spiel about is Kamala black or when did she turn black was RETRIBUTION for being asked rude questions. He CRUSHED that nasty woman for her questions. He has warned everyone before, he will crush you, there will be retribution, if you cross him in any way. You become an "enemy of the people."

Trump is like a pile of shit in a cow pasture. Try to cross that pasture and you're going to step in it.

If Trump's objective was to entertain his supporters he was very successful. On the other hand he probably alienated undecided voters who aren't thrilled by seeing the unhinged racist back in the White House and additionally his performance probably helped increase turnout among those voters already predisposed to vote for Harris especially minorities and younger voters. I expect more of the same from the former president within the next three months.

I'm not sure they even realize it's racist to be honest. Which I'm not sure makes it better or worse.

This performance was on purpose and is the opening salvo in what will be the most racist presidential campaign of all time--much worse than 2008.

Also, if Kamala wanted to hide her bi-racial heritage, she would have changed her name to Nikki.

Until Trump ran for office, he hung out with Clintons, Obamas, and the other social/media elite of the Left. Then, BOOM he became a vile racist for being someone who wanted to rein in Federal regulations, bureaucracy, overseas involvement while being curt and rude. Trump went into the fire with this interview knowing that every "gotcha," slanted narrative would precede a question. Did Biden or Harris ever do an interview in such a platform? It mollifies the Left to the greatest degree to simply say - Trump is a racist, rapist, destroyer of planet, etc. Anyone can say that about anyone else to make themselves feel superior. Now, let's look at the actual policies and results. What/where is the actual racism in the policies/results? Clearly, the Left believes anything that doesn't support their agenda suffices.

You can’t think of a single time he was accused of racism before 2016? Not one?

This is my favorite of all the arguments. The interviewer was extremely unfair to Trump, by quoting (with reasonable context) Trump’s words. Shame on ABC and their hatred of America.

Well, that isn't true at all. He was a birther for years before he ran for office. He was the butt of a bunch of jokes from Obama after that whole mess. I suspect that you are trying to act like he was a member of the New York elite, but they mostly thought of him as a reality show clown for years. That is the source of his resentments.

No, he is a racist due to the many racist things that he does and says. I just mentioned the birtherism stuff. But there are decades of racist actions and statements.

Okay, let's look at his policies. Why does Trump want to cut legal immigration, especially from countries that are primarily non-white, while explicitly supporting immigration from majority white countries?

Your opinion pieces and look back 100 years ago is full of crap. The actual truth is immigrants create more jobs than they take. And places with high immigration rates have higher average salaries.

Immigrants are more likely to start a business and employ others. They are also more likely to work bottom wage jobs. And when they do this work, it creates the need for service jobs that often go to citizens such as cashiers who help sell the wares that the immigrants create, or the waitstaff who serve the immigrants who frequent restaurants.

Let's also talk about numbers. There are currently about 8 million undocumented immigrants in the US working. There are currently about 8.2 million open jobs, and about 6.5 million on unemployment. If immigrants are taking all our jobs, why are there more job openings than unemployed, and about the same number of undocumented immigrants working as there are job openings? If immigrants were truly job stealing, and millions are coming in, wouldn't we be seeing less jobs go unfilled, and more people on unemployment?

Want more proof. Remember the anti-immigrant laws passed by states like Arizona and Alabama circa 2010? Well, in Arizona, the result of the law saw an overall decrease in jobs in the state by 2.5%, and less than 10% of the jobs migrants were working were filled by citizens. And it makes perfect economic sense. The less people in the work force, the less demand there is for goods and services, less reason for firms to keep people hired when they are selling less.

I know Trump was friendly with the Clintons (Trump said as a businessman, he had to get along with everybody). I could be wrong, but I don't remember Trump hanging out with the Obamas.
