No, I never said that increases inflation. I said staving people to lower prices is not a good idea.

Amazing switch. First, the way to bring down inflation is to drill for oil. Then, when shown that we are producing more oil than ever, inflation is about more than one product.

You are obviously very confused, because you literally said “high dollar” is good for exports in this post below.

So in this thread you’ve literally said both a high dollar and low dollar are good for exports. I assume this was a slipup, but if you are going to get mad at other posters should probably sort out your own inconsistencies.

There is a trade off with these currency games, theoretically a devaluing currency makes things cheaper for foreign countries to buy our goods. Yes, that potentially increases exports.

On the other hand, by definition it makes it more expensive to import, and more expensive to purchase domestic goods against the increased exports. It is defacto inflationary to devalue currency.

The ideal is a “stable currency”, trying to manipulate currency is not a winning strategy. Actually, it’s more out of the WWCD playbook (what would commies do).

    From your post #28:

Biden and the Democrats haves lied too often about the economy and they want to increase taxes that will exacerbate inflation. Not a good idea.

    What's your point?
I never meant to post the high dollar is good for exports, not matter what you're changing in my post.. That doesn't even make sense... So, I fixed that misstatement.

    And is inflationary.

Guess we'd just have to drill more oil to offset that?

Fixed my misstatement. it's supposed to be lower dollar not higher dollar. But how would you slow or stop inflation? Do you have a remedy for inflation?

Lol... what is inflationary? A cheaper dollar? Okay, I have to hear this one. How does a cheaper dollar cause inflation?

Well, it would cause a product produced in another country to be more expensive. Given that people buy a mixture of domestically produced and internationally produced products, this would increase prices.

No Biden and the Dems killed your thread. You have no idea why we even have inflation in a crappy economy.

Dems talking about the economy is hilarious. What would you do to fix inflation? Nothing you can do about it. Unless you can get the fed to lower interest rates.

You think that lower interest rates cause lower inflation?

In an extreme devalued scenario, our oil companies wouldn’t be able to afford to drill for more oil even with foreign demand, maybe we could be like Central America where a foreign power comes in and consolidates all our oil resources for cheap. That worked out so great for those workers and their economies!

And interest rates are still high becasue the Fed doesn't like your Dem's economic policies. But the Fed re coming around because they know that Biden and the Dems are soon to be gone from the WH.

Watch how soon the interest rates drop with Trump in the WH, that's becasue they have faith in his economic plan/polices. The Fed have no such faith in Biden nor the Dems.
