Someone said being a Four-Star was a requirement so this was for clarity.

I'm not so sure about that first one...

If you knew the backstory for Trump's mentor, Roy Cohn, and the way Donald used to fawn over him, I think we might be getting closer to the truth about what Kompromat Putin has over Trump.

Tell the board you’re irrational and over dramatic without telling us.
    Oh wait you’re screaming it.
    Sad.

"It is not about stars, it is about what they represent as far as experience, and this guy doesn't have it."

i'm confused, is it or isn't it about stars? You seem to be on both sides of the fence here.

The OP was saying the guy would get his 4th star by virtue of Trump picking from 3 star obscurity, not having served at the levels and positions to have been qualified for a 4th star.

What he didn't say is that the Senate would have to confirm him to get his 4th star, as would all other 3 star generals or admirals.

You are correct, sir. Hope this helps.

"By law, an officer appointed as chairman of the Joint Chiefs must served have served as a vice chairman or must have previously overseen a military service or a combatant command. Caine did not serve in any of those positions. This requirement can be waived, however, if the president “determines such action is necessary in the national interest,” according to the law."

sounds like feelings. DOGE's ledger ("wall of receipts") is publicly avail. It disproves yr pt. If a publicly traded company's accountants performed thusly, folks would be going to jail.

“Dei gone wild” because that’s what Dear Leader’s says is the latest thing to get upset about?

btw, the aircraft carrier captain, per above “ships crashing”, wasn’t a black guy or woman. Capt. Dave Snowden.

Although I cannot say with absolutely certainty my guess is that every other Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff had four stars prior to his nomination for the position and that most were the highest ranking officers in their specific services.

I like the part where he explicitly says these are aspirational and will not be used to undermine our merit based process.

Trump's been a fanboy of old "Razin'" Cain for the last 6-8 years. Mentions him in a lot of speeches.
