Trikweze Bridges and the nonsense targeting call

That targeting call was one of the worst I’ve seen. It’s a stupid rule period.

 

Soccer’s popularity has skyrocketed in the last decade or so. Our club here in ATL fielded 42 U12 boys teams last spring for one county.

Also, the goalie can use their hands, so saying you can’t use your hands in the sport is inaccurate.

 

Given the prevalence of CTE, no the idea behind the rule is not stupid. However, the notion of tackling someone in the butt and saying that risks injury, is stupid. They need to have some level of judgement that says… nah, no danger. What bothers me is that this was a booth review. They could have easily said no harm, no foul. But those morons acted with no intelligence.

 

Yep. Okie's scorching hot offense got frigid after that. Fear will do that to a wide receiver.
