In the game OSU lost to UGA, Stroud was 23-34 for 348 yards and 4/0.

 

He cooked. Coaching lost them the game late

I doubt that. It’s inevitable that they play SWAC or Georgia or some other team we find more execrable at the time.

I worked for a large corporation in the northern burbs of Detroit at the time. The Michigan fans were outraged that Florida was chosen to play OSU in the NC game instead of Michigan getting a rematch. They called Meyer a whiner for saying Florida deserved it because Michigan didn’t even win their conference.

My office door became a bulletin board for every Michigan fan who felt they’d been screwed. One guy even had a 8 x 10 blue & yellow block M with a screw through it taped to my door. Man it was fun coming back from Glendale! I hung my Gator flag in my office and kept it there for weeks.

My boss, a Wisconsin grad, loved it

 

For an opinion to matter to me in the slightest I have to respect the person it is coming from.

 

That’s exactly what it was but Stroud doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about, and made a fool of himself.

 

In football. We have won track, golf, gymnastics, swimming, tennis

 

I wont argue your point as it's correct but we only need to go to 96 for 3 national championships and they have to go back to 1970. Either way, consistent or not, we are taking home the same amount of Natty's in the modern era.

You are obviously not a golfer or you would not make light of the accomplishment. We won't even delve into track and gymnastics.

 

It’s a football forum, we are talking about football accomplishments.

 

You are talking about football championships. They were talking about National championships. Neither Taylor nor Stroud in that clip limited the conversation to football accomplishments.

Football national championships facilitated other sport championships because of revenue generation. Why hasn’t OSU made the most of its football success with a trickle down effect on other sports?

Taylor was extremely merciful to Stroud. I wouldn’t have been. Taylor did not even mention the head to head NC game between the two schools which was a rout.
