I’d love to have a lawyer that can get you out of a DUI after a car chase. I did have a car chasing Tijuana one time. Luckily in the passenger seat was a guy who has Uncle with the chief of police, and he also worked for the cartel.

 

No doubt, that would be something if they were in the habit of not pressing charges after car chases

 

I for one would not be one bit surprised if Kirby was in on this.

However, a lot of people outside the state of Georgia are not aware that the city of Athens Ga, and Clark County (where Athens is located) are totally progressive.
The authorities (council, sheriff, DA, and Judge) are hard core progressives. Also, Athens is a sanctuary city where illegals can get arrested for crimes and let go before ICE even knows that they were in legal trouble.

Not a starter, a senior, and thus expendable. Sure they lose a 2 year special teams player and dime package CB, but the positive PR greatly outweighs that.

 

I "hate" to be cynical but the poor guy was sacrificed.

Sure, but he led police on a chase and endangered other drivers on the road. Maybe this DA will finally wise-up now that he's actually tasted a dose of accountability, but he chose to play for UGa, so I somehow doubt it.
