D Wade fleeing the state is probably more impactful to young AA’s thinking of coming here than the NAACP pronouncement. Although as I posted somewhere else, I could definitely see Kiffin or Saban using this “warning” to negative recruit against UF, even though it’s obviously laughable to market Alabama and Mississippi as a safe haven from racists relative to FL (and can basically say that for all southeastern conference schools!).

I doubt this impacts recruiting. Although directionally, it can’t be helpful. The concern is if some NFL players started having “Disney-like” issues with the FL government, like when that former President went hostile against the NFL, if a state govt did that sort of crazy - perceptions could get worse in a hurry. NFL player isn’t going to leave the country, but choosing a different state is a pretty low bar. Is this a disadvantage we want to put Napier at? Guy’s probably going to struggle for 6 wins without all the bs.
