What other choice did he have but to be patient? Ain’t like he could demand a trade

What is "it"? I'm not sure what you took issue with.

He could be a prick. Isn't that what most want to be? He had someone in front of him in both HS and UF. And he was never going to get a real chance with Brady on the team. Few have patience.

Funny how you choose to say nothing nice about Trask while passionately defending AR at every turn. You can crawl back to your THFSG hole now

There are plenty of NFL QBs who sit their first few years to soak up the playbook before they start. And of course he wasn’t going to get a chance with Brady there, he wasn’t ready, if anything he got the benefit of watching/learning from Brady every day for 2 seasons which is a luxury most young QBs get.

He was drafted in the second round. He isn't "one of those".

And that’s where Trask is right now with the Bucs. They know he either plays or they have to move on. That’s why they brought in Mayfield.

So what do you propose the Bucs should’ve done differently with his development?

Not sure of why the discussion. You asked why he should not be patient and I reply "because plenty of his stature are not." It really is that simple. Just because he is isn't an indicment of him, or should I say, those who prefer to take the "prick" route are not bad per se, but they are prevalent. And to the gist of the direction of the thread, it should suit him well.

I agree there are some players who get upset about not getting immediate playing time, but I can’t think of the last QB drafted highly who did that. If anything I think pro QBs are happy to have a chance to sit and not get thrown into the fire immediately which can ruin them for good.

Even in the NFL... if they pay one player more money, but can win more with the "other guy" then you play the other guy... you play to win. Winning is everything in the NFL especially.

I think it was the best situation for him too. Picking the brain of Brady and watching firsthand how he prepared, he was the best player to learn from especially since they have similar body types and playing styles.

Tell that to Earnest Graham who was a better RB than Cadillac Williams and balled out when given the chance. But Cadillac got paid more so he played more.

Is that coach still there? I doubt you keep a clown like that for long.

What I said only applies to smart team owners and organizations.

Also... If I were the owner of the Bucs that coach would be fired on the spot about that running back scenario you mentioned. The best players win and the dead weight get portal-ed out... err... traded away. Cadillac sucked... and they should have had Graham running the ball.

But all this is becasue the Bucs don't have the smartest owner/s in the league.
