I wasn't expecting this. I hope he changes his mind.

 

I'm friends with his uncle. Two years ago his uncle told me he was done and was going to transfer (PT was the primary reason) but the staff convinced him to stay. Last year the staff was slow to figure out he was better than Burney (and others) and he was upset about it.
I don't know what happened with the new staff.
His cousin just transferred to Missouri and the other one is at Boise. Maybe he wants a fresh start and joins one of them?

This is a significant loss. He is the most athletic LB on the roster and hits like a truck.

Sh*t. If you are friends with his uncle tell him his boy needs to stay and be a leader on the defense next season. He will most likely be a starter he was showing out during our bowl game. Was literally all over the place. Seriously. Talk to him. We need him.

insiders are saying that Crob is the one who leaked the hires of Sale, Henderson, and Scott to football scoop, which hurt efforts to hire them as their nfl teams were able to counter knowing what was on the table and or allow other interested teams to get involved as well. Insiders also stated that crob was pushing commits to leave UF and for some of his linebackers to transfer. Rumors of this came out during bowl week practices but it was kind of brushed off. Multiple insiders now speaking up with Crob finally landing a new job (at auburn. They claim scooby is next unless he can be convinced to stay. Don’t think Wingo is leaving though.

players transferring when coaches leave- not surprising and don’t blame them. Leaking the coach info..that is a jerk move if true.

 

Could be a Bateman connection. Story on the home page says Hopper's brother played for Bateman at UNC but transferred to mizzou. Could be brother told TH that Bateman was the wrong dude? Just speculating.

I just sent Uncle Hopper a text to find out what's going on.
Bryan Harsin coached at Boise before he went to Auburn...and I know the Hoppers are close to him.
There is a good chance I won't comment on TyRon's situation due to them wanting to keep it private. However, if they are open about it I'll share.

 

That is not his brother ... it's his cousin. Tyrone (Missouri), Tyneil (Boise) and Tyjai (Sophomore in high school) are brothers and I'm friends with their dad (Tyrone Sr.) ... who is TyRon's uncle and guardian.
