hmmm….if everything is a clean slate and RG comes back, is Torrence an LT or RT? Assuming our starting 4+1 (Tarquin) will start the spring as the starters, I wonder where Torrence would play and if he could overtake them? Ill say this, NOBODY’S starting spot should be “secure” on this team.

Have been to SLC a few times on business. It is a really nice place. Think many here would be surprised.

Salt Lake has a young and pretty eclectic culture surrounding the University. Yes the Mormon church can dominate aspects of life there but the University as well as park city are nice respites from the homogeneity of the rest of the city. The alcohol laws have reportedly been relaxed a little since I was there and the girls there like outsiders. Culture shock as stated before or distance from family can be real but Wtvr was intimated before about white people is off base in my opinion. They also have a pretty big Mexican, Tongan, Asian and Greek Greek cultural base there. Id say black people were the smallest minority when I was there but Utah's competitive programs have at least contributed towards increasing their presence. Now I would agree if people were talking about ANYWHERE outside of salt lake...

At this point in his career, I doubt Diabate cares much one way or another about what Salt Lake City is "really" like. He's probably not going to spend a lot of time enjoying the city -- he's a football player and a student, and that's going to occupy most of his time. He's looking for a place where he can start immediately, play well and put himself in a position to get drafted. Whether or not Utah is the right place for that I have no idea -- by all accounts Diabate is really smart and really thoughtful, so I'll trust he's made a reasonable evaluation.

I mean demographics and culture can certainly be factors to how well a player fits or not. I just disagree with what he was implying with how he stated it. It's different than the south but acting like he's gonna be treated poorly because he's black in salt lake is off base.

It’s really weird to imply diabate should’ve stayed in Florida instead of transferring to Utah because of his race….of all things. Nevermind the entire overhauling of floridas staff, culture, scheme, etc….let’s go with race.

    Dude is weird

That is interesting. Looks like he is looking at schools that are a lite closer. Not that UF is that far away. Will be interesting to see what he does.

UF has made the final 6 for former Wyoming WR Isaiah Neyor. The other ones are Tennessee, USC, Baylor, Texas and TCU.
