I did notice that there do seem to be two Louisiana's (the northern half and the bayou areas).

Just off Thomas Road... in the southwest side of West Monroe.
Notice how close the Duck Commander location is...about a mile north.)

Love the article and rationale explanation.

Whereas for us the portal to this point has been a program saver, Tennessee staff must detest it. Knowing a handful of players can make a tremendous impact on a team's overall abilities(think Harvin, Tebow, Pounceys) how much talent drain has the portal been on Tennessee? Whoa.

This sounds odd- "4. Demarkcus Bowman, RB, Florida (from Clemson): Former five-star and top-25 player in the 2020 class, Bowman gets a new start in an offense that values the run game and 12 personnel." I hope by mid season it really looks like execute a run game to a really high level.

We are in prime position to take advantage of the portal in any given year now that there is essentially free agency with players through the portal. I expect over the years if the free one time transfer stays in place that there will be an emphasis on recruiting in state and a slight de-emphasis on high school recruiting generally. I say that because it is likely that on average 1/4 of the high school recruits will never be strong contributors to on field success and 1 or 2 will be medical hardships and another 3 to 5 in each class will transfer out at some point (which will likely be even higher if you recruit out of state kids who won't want to ride the bench for years before contributing, e.g. our freshman Rogers who is a phenomenal athlete but didn't earn a starting spot this spring and transferred). Our DT problem this year turned into almost a strength immediately through the portal. With the portal you can get the best playing years of the player without the headaches of development. Like in Tennessee's case, it will really gut some teams that have recruited well but are not winning games. The portal will be a wild ride for coaches over the following years.

Culture, vision, mission, leadership and belief on your staff reduces transfers. It has to. Tennessee is clearly lacking. It appears we are net gaining via portal by a huge margin. So far so good.

As for DT/DL, I hope it’s as simple as bringing in a couple of bodies with enough size and strength that it’s plug in and play. DT really isn’t that complicated so hopefully we have 5-7 capable guys in the middle and that finally our SDEs start to emerge.

It says something when you cant qualify at LSU....Santa Fe Community college requirements look like M.I.T compared to LSU....now Georgia and Auburn thats something special.

Honestly, uga is a solid school. Probably number three behind vandy Florida . So, either they are more easily able to waive their admissions requirements or he got his stuff together. I'm going with the former.

Georgia is a pretty good school but no doubt they make exceptions for the football team if need be. Im sure Kirby told the admissions department his grades were good enough. Losing Gilbert to Georgia sucks ass. The guy would have been Pitts 2.0 but alas Mullen cant tell admissions to look the other way like Kirby can.

True... I attended high school in Louisiana and TRUST ME... it was a piece of cake compared to schools in Florida (Tampa Bay area). My final grade in Geometry at West Monroe High School was a 98... and I sucked at math!
Louisiana is nationally low when it comes to scholastics... sadly the State of Mississippi is worse.

Why would we not just assume that he changed his mind and preferred UGa to Florida? They beat us for every HS recruit.
