It is supposed to already be unacceptable. From what I understand, there there are rules against it already. But once again the NCAA just turns a blind eye.

    Thanks.

So I'm guessing the brain trust behind NIL, Transfer Portal, Conference Expansion has just decided to allow all of these things
    without a "rule" book.

Thats working out great isn't it.

And the NCAA is trying to argue on the TN case that College Football is still an "Amatuer" sport.

So essentially all the BS in recruiting that has happened in the last 2.5 years is now subject to penalties and probation?
Come on - They could basicly put every team in the SEC on probation, unless they just want to weild the hammer against UF and UT.

You know if the NCAA comes down heavy on UF and UT I hope both schools tell the SEC to pull the hell out of the NCAA,
draft a letter to the SEC that future participation by both programs in this league is dependent on the SEC and the Big 10
forming a new "super power conference" and saying good riddance to the NCAA.

Or something like that. The NCAA already attempted to "ghost" UF once already. It's upsetting to consider.

But I keep hearing the NCAA position is literally indefensible and will be thrown out.

Would be interesting if they hammer teams not in top 25 or winning championships and look the other way while elite buy players and recruit off your rosters

me too. Chatter is he won’t transfer to SEC since SEC to SEC post early transfer period he would have to sit out per SEC rules. BUT….with the ncaa currently allowing unlimited transfers along with the NCAA losing every court case regarding transfer rules…probably just a matter of time before a player files suit to challenge the quite arbitrary SEC rule- pretty much zero chance SEC would win in court. SEC isn’t going to win a court case that ncaa already lost.

My guess would be Georgia, since they lost out on Downs. They have all that money
burning a hole in their pocket.

since his coach left (Jimbo) does he still get the chance to leave and transfer wherever he wants? He waited a bit so not sure.

but in the end, as others have said…just sue. The ncaa has lost every transfer an eligibility case. SEC rule (no other conference has the rule) is arbitrary and hampering free trade so there is zero chance SEC would win.

Only can take SEC grad transfers without sitting out year under current rules it appears. As mentioned above, can enter Spring portal and transfer to non-SEC schools without sitting out a year.

Not yet....those cases are ongoing. There was a temporary injunction in place for awhile. They will probably lose, though.

He liked Raymond and he is bs k at LSU coaching now. Would he want to go home? Would he sit out a year challenge thd SEC rule in court. Given recent NCAA rulings, I think he would likely prevail. SEC can’t have restrictions that courts have told the NCAA are not permissible

They haven't told the NCAA that yet. There was a temporary injunction put in place over transfer restrictions but I believe it has expired or has been lifted. The court case is ongoing and not yet complete.
