Just saw that Prather (WR WVU) jumped in the portal. Definitely a guy I hope we reach out to after watching a couple of their games this year.

 

We should be on a plane right now. Leave Peterson there until he signs.

 

This is why I hate the current landscape. Finally get a coach who is liked by kids and understands recruiting and the playing field is leveled by the portal and NIL. FSU will stay relevant with portal moves every year. They'd have been dead and buried without it this year.

What success SCar had this year, seemed to have little to do with him. He especially disappeared as the defenses got better.

I just wonder, do people on the board here really think there is something he does that Zip couldn't do as well, and if not, does our offense need two of that kind of player at the same class level, and does anyone think that Bell blocks as well as Zip, which is crucial in our offense?

 

With him and Pratt (likely) in the portal, will the stream of QB from the ACC stop? Some of those ACC QB have to realize they are not walking into a better situation since top schools either have a great QB or will get a better QB in the portal before them.

 

I think he may do better at fsu than usc but I agree he isn't what we look for in a tight end at all given napiers offense. I don't mean to imply that we were after him but he could do well at fsu....which I hate

 

I hear you and I hit “agree” on your post but I do think it levels out the playing field a little bit. Rebuilds should not take as long if your staff has its act together. But I do worry about …lets say, we go 9-3 the next 2 years. And Gator fans lose their shit, thinking 11 wins… or else, DAMN IT!

I really feel like we have the right guy, who sees the big picture, is organized and has an eye to detail that we have not had in a long while. But the DUMB part of this fan base is loud and ruthless.
