Western Kentucky QB Austin Reed has told the school he intends to enter the transfer portal. Expect the former Division II QB to land in the Power 5.

I assume Rashada knows we will take a transfer so no reason to keep anything quiet until after ESD.

I do see a few 4* guys like Hall(s?), Walker and Fletcher as definite takes under any circumstances. But I agree that unless we land an embarrassment of riches on ESD, the portal could turn into an avalanche of high-grade plug and play guys. It's also interesting that we already have a boat load of departures (with more to come?) which suggests that we are clearing the decks for an epic influx of talent. I just hope the big money boys are knocking the dust off those quadruple platinum check books. Stay tuned.

 

Seems we always get a guy or two we didn’t hear about until they commit. I expect that will happen also. How close we get to 30 I would think depends on where our portal numbers go. We have to take the truly elite hs kids but proven elite college guys that fill our holes carry just as much weight. I doubt Napier even knows exactly how this is going to shake out. Kind of a developing scenario where he just rides the wave and the dominos make him go where he may.

 

That’s slot of +1 type guys where you just make room however you have to do it. I’m wondering if pwo’s will come into play. With Nil, the players don’t necessarily need their tuition paid by the schools.
