And just when they got their freshman TE from out west to look like a serviceable TE in their bowl game... I see competition with Washington for the starting TE position if Arick goes to to the mutts. He could start here from game one, IMHO.

 

Zip been here a bit. It wouldn’t be that easy.

 

Gotta hold onto the ball. Gotta play with more intensity. Not disagreeing completely but to say The te’s performance in the Cotton Bowl was disappointing is an understatement. It was flat awful. If they catch a couple of balls they extend drives and they were not tough balls to catch.

 

Zip dropped one. Gamble dropped 4 or 5. They are two different players.
Both have been fairly sure-handed in the past

 

It would be interesting to see the stats on drops. Gamble was targeted 9 times and had 1 reception.

 

Yeah. It was a strange game for drops. Gamble usually catches well. So does Shorter but he had a few drops (one would have been an extremely difficult catch but we’ve seen him make them before). Zip had one. I’m sure there were others.
