Transfer Portal Thoughts

Harris may move into a starting role next year, but the rest that haven’t even played need to be worked into the lineup next year not starting

 

How many plug and play SEC quality O-lineman do you think we need out of the portal before next year's season starts.

 

He doesn't seem to fit the Pearsall slot WR model, though. I don't think he is as quick. Now Trey Wilson would be a perfect fit to replace Ricky. Now we just need a WR that is fast enough to put the fear of beating DBs over the top. Since we lack that now, I can only assume that the frosh WR's aren't that, because its sorely needed. Portal?

what about Kearny?

 

Mizell and Jean are both fast. Both have had injury issues this year. Wilson isn’t slow either. He’s missed some playing time due to injury too though. IIRC, Mizell was touted as the fastest wr in his class. Maybe just the fastest wr in FL.

 

With even an average Oline, we should be good with Mertz, Lagway, Etienne, Douglas, Wilson, Jackson, Smith, Wilson, Boardingham and more guys emerging to start or be quality depth.

I'd work portal for defense.

 

I didn't say Wilson was slow. Unless they are hurt, then I'm not sure why we aren't rolling out these other freshman receivers. Other than Wilson and Pearsall it doesn't appear there is much speed regarding the others getting snaps.

 

At least one really good tackle. Another good lineman would be nice but please god give us at least one.

We need two out of the portal. Looking below you can see Wilson is our only true playmaker.
Jean- no one knows what’s going on.

Mizell- will play next year but not a starter for a while.

Jackson- true #3-4

there’s no one else. We truly have no depth and remember with Andy Jean we don’t know what’s going on. He’s not been hurt all year. Gotta go get 2 impact guts out of portal.

 

Absolutely. Wouldn't you have liked to see some of that this year? Although next year I assume Lagway will get in for QB change up stuff if he's not starting.

100% for sure on Brown. Also saw something in Hudson last night. Yes on Jackson but gotta get portal guys

 

Don’t forget Douglas will be back from injury. He was starting to excel.

 

I get it, but I don’t see him as anything more than a possession receiver. We absolutely have to bring into portal guys if FSU can do it I don’t see why we can’t.
