Just left Barbados this morning as we just beat the storm. Made it home safely.

Right now we are right in the path in Cayman. Probably have to cut this one short

Yeah I think my Great Grandmother was concerned about what global warming had caused back in 1908 when a Cat 2 hurricane formed in early March and another one in May. I think I can understand that one hurricane proves predictions to be true.

I was speaking about this years predictions. Any one season doesn’t speak much of anything. The trend though is clear and a discussion for another thread.

Please keep us posted... And don't wait too long to get out of harms way. Flights are quite likely to book up...

Covid forced us to cut Grand Cayman short. Haven't been back since

Having a discussion about climate change with someone who conflates climate with weather is pointless. Carry on.

We've never had a cat 4 in June until now. What does our earliest cat 4 ever have to do with 1908?

It's a Caribbean Island, the beach and the water were great. Played one round of golf and it was nice, food was so so. There's not much to do there other than the beach and drink!

One other thing, they had the World Cup Cricket Final in Barbados on last Saturday, India vs South Africa. There were a lot of people from India there on the Island. India won, we had finished playing golf and sat in the bar watching the final. The bartender kept explaining the game to us so it got easier to follow. He said everyone on the island grows up playing cricket and then soccer.

My wife is South African and watched the "last few balls" of the final. She was disappointed when her team lost and being the good husband I am, I asked her if cricket was even a real sport. That helped a lot, obviously!
