European breakfast reminds me of a Gator influence on breakfast in Italy. UF had a summer architectural program in Vicenza Italy back in the mid 80s. Now I believe it is year ‘round. When my wife was there in ‘87 they had a studio classroom in a famous Palladio building that had a little cafe on the ground level that served typical Italian breakfast - espresso and a piece of some kind of bread. The Gator students wanted more and convinced/taught the cafe folks to serve ham and eggs and toast. That was unheard of in Vicenza at the time. I have to admit that was a good influence.
