Tons of overnight rumors the reddit crew is going to pump CCIV today to try and squeeze shorts again. Just a heads up because I know a few of us own it. Might be a good day to take some profits if it happens.

I went ahead and bought cciv at 31. I'm in for the long term though unless some weird stuff happens and it shoots up again

Yeah - portnoy's tweet will have to bring some numbers, cause as it stands (25k subs to r/CCIV) there isn't enough money to make a dent.

I too am long, but if it goes cray - I'll jump out and get back in after.

It was up about 18% before open, so I think they tried but you're right. Not enough firepower.

The consensus here seems to be that you can skin the proverbial cat many different ways, but if you look at evidence some approaches work better than others. Most of the discussion in this thread does involve the superior approaches.

Just closed out one of my crypto positions. Made 55% in 11 days. Too bad I’m just dabbling so it’s not huge sums of money.

Guys in the office were talking about crypto NBA cards or something like that. Video clips of famous NBA plays sold as a "crypto card". I guess it is the next generation bubble gum card.

It took some time for me to understand the concept, but video clips is correct. My son had a 10 bagger at one time and now it is down to eight times initial investment. He was in the top 3% investment return at one time. He asked me what to do and I told him to take off his initial investment, and then two times that, and let the rest ride.

    NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens)

They're hot right now in the crypto world.

    Here is an example

NBA Top Shot: What is it, stocks, why is LeBron highlight worth $208K?

That's wild. It makes sense as you get the rights to the clip I guess. I know there has been a big resurgence in the sports trading card world as well. I went and dusted off my boxes and stumbled upon a Shaq rookie card I need to get graded that is worth 4 digits.

Bought into another long term hold. CFII is merging with the smart window company View. View windows are already in use in a lot of large techy companies like Netflix and Facebook. The merger gives View $800 mil to work with to retire its debts and move forward with a large cash holding. Just a very forward thinking company with tons of patents in an industry that I expect to take off over the next 5-10 years.

One of our subsidiaries builds and installs the external enclosure of buildings and has installed View glass on a couple projects, the most recent being a hospital. I don’t think any have had the fancy monitors though. They’re working hard to get owners to spec their product as it certainly costs more than traditional glazing.

    The joys of investing.
My DMCRX that I have talked about before...it had gone up 100 percent in a year and had completely outrun its cohort. It was also starting to skew my larger portfolio a bit, so time to start at least pulling out my principle and using that to rebalance some. Picked Friday afternoon after things appeared to stabilize, so the money was sitting today waiting to be reinvested when the market took off. And of course that fund will be up 4 percent today or more in the biggest gain in months. It’s always the way. Thankfully I talked myself into only pulling 4K, with another 3k coming out with the market close today. Will do the rest over the next week or two. But it’s why I always stagger sales.

That's good to hear. It's definitely one of those products that you pay more for up front and in theory save money over the life through energy and cooling savings. Some of their technology is pretty incredible, and I'm definitely banking on govt buildings/public/LEED certified buildings being major customers. As you mentioned, hospitals are also one of the biggest current users.
