ologist - While I agree the first two years under Napier, UF had serious special teams issues, I am pleased to note that CBN does value the contribution of kickers, this is obvious based on CBN's willingness to burn "ships" on these positions. I am always "horrified" when UF coaches suggest they don't want to burn ships on these positions and go the PWO route. Good Punters "flip the field" helping the defense, and accurate FG kickers can win games from distance (Nowadays 55 - 60 yards is not unresonable). I would always place high value on the kicking positions from a recruting perspective. Personally I could "care less" that the most "stars" one can get from a kicker is 2 or 3 stars. So WHAT! Give me a good kicker and a slightly lower recruiting ranking composite any day of the week!!!!
