The best ever and a sad day. Will miss competitors like him. Pretty special watching Nolan Ryan and Tom Brady do their thing well into their 40’s. Will miss Brady.

 

In my opinion, you have to go out on top to be the GOAT. I understand that was what he was trying to do, and if he had retired after the 2020 Super Bowl, there would be no question.

Since his refusal to retire was the public reason for them splitting up, and then after she splits from him he retires, I have to wonder if he played this year just to make sure she would leave. I admit, that’s probably a little too conspiratorial and cynical.
