I don’t think this is true. I suspect that instead of Bowles’ simple one-way model of ideas going only from media to peoples’ minds, the media also reports on ideas because they are on peoples’ minds.

If the right wing media stopped talking about election fraud, would all right-wing election skeptics accept the election outcome that very minute? Seems extremely implausible to me.

Make up 13% of the population. Are you bent out of shape grumpy again because it doesn’t perfectly match?
Looks like if we got a two or three more black head coaches all would be right in your world.

I'm guessing if the percentages were reversed the issue would be changed to 'well, they're not HEAD coaches'. Assistant coaches wouldn't count. Not sure what would happen if 13% of head coaches were black. Find something else to complain about I suppose.

 

I see you’re skipping my central thesis to focus on the particular example I gave. Let’s use your example then. Imagine a head coach, Bodd Towles, said this:

“The moment the right wing media stops focusing on the terrible job that Biden and the dems have done, everyone else will as well.”

Did this Bodd Towles “nail it”?
